Doesn't a lot of this come down to what has been agreed. Have I imagined that there were reports last summer that he'd agreed not to push for a transfer at that point and in return for staying another year they would let him go this summer.

If there's been some sort of handshake agreement and now Sporting are trying to derail his transfer then I can understand him being very pissed off. That's a very different situation to just deciding out of the blue that he wants to go and then essentially going on strike when Sporting don't step aside and let it happen.

Also hard to have too much sympathy with Sporting when they essentially did the same to us. Seemed that Vik and his agent were only interested in going to one club and we could easily have done what Sporting are doing now.

They are letting him go.

For a price that they deem market value for their asset.
Current market value by the way: a) not what value was “shaken hands” on last season and certainly not b) whatever value his agent decides is appropriate

Sporting are simply doing what we give King praise for, getting the best price and deal that suits them

Must admit Romano's views have probably tripled last few months, he's been saying the same things online and getting attention bias.

Glad its done though. Use it wisely Doug.

Glad that this has apparently finally gotten over the line; will be a thrill watching a player we watched thrive under us take the PL by storm, which I have no doubt he will
Not confirmed by Arsenal or Sporting, so it has still not happened....... yet.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Vik for his goals for us etc.

But anyone else think he’s a bit of a bellend. Forcing moves and not turning up for training etc.
Vik is 27, not 21. Just had the best season of his career. This was almost certainly his best, and possibly only chance to move to a truly top club as the main man. Don't blame him for making it happen.

And the excuse when he did it to us?

He's a good player, but clearly a bit of a knob

I didn't blame him at all for leaving us?

Sporting was a big step up, top tier football, fighting for major trophies and playing in Europe. Can't really begrudge him that. And we got a very fair price for him.
Yes I'm not on about the fact he left. The way he goes about it, especially with that prick of an agent and all the posts Fabrizio was putting out.

Vik deal drops i then think we see multiple ins coming over next 10 days. Im sure this was the deal we were waiting for to get our stuff going. Definitely more moves out from the current squad as well.

We may see Tofollo, Dolan, Travis and other names linked tirn back up again.

ITK's suggesting we had spent the Vik money on KKH.
