I'd keep Allen for the experience in the squad. A decent player with a vast amount of experience in the league which will be helpful in a youngish squad.

Presumably, yes because the CM stock is a bit much now. You’d probably look to sell Eccles if there’s concrete interest and keep Allen as a back up. I’d expect Andrews to go out on loan again.

Sheaf, Grimes, Torp, Pereira and Allen/Andrews seem well balanced and enough cover to me.

You need 5 CMs if you’re playing 4-2-3-1 because as we seen last season, 1-2 injuries and you’re in trouble.

I think Lampard rates him, just not as much as Sheaf. One thing that was apparent in 23/24 and last season is that he’s too similar to our options.

If we sell him, it’s healthier for balancing the books too because at some point we need to consider FFP as our squad is one of the most expensive in the league.

Tbf to him he's made 133 appearance in a top-half Championship team & going into next season is 5th choice (6th if we sign this lad)
