Obviously got Luton in the Southern Section

How long is it sorted by location?

Chesterfield v Mansfield will be tasty!

We owe them a beating. Hopefully Frank might take this cup a bit more seriously than Robins ever did. What's the furthest we ever got under him, always felt like a 1st or 2nd round loss to me.

Robins never gave a fuck about any cup aside from the JPT cos it was already the final and the FA Cup last year cos Doug wanted a cup run.

Never too bothered about this competition. I hope Lampard plays our squad players. If they are good enough to win the game fantastic, if not then so be it.

Cup runs are fun though, yeah I get we need to prioritise the league but god that's boring, beating Wolves and the FA cup semi drama is going to live a lot longer in the memory than us finishing 5th last season will. We need to build form that early in the season might as well give it a go seeing as we never have before. Besides at the very latest this one is done by March . Might as well give it a pop

I love a cup run. Really hate playing weakened teams. I want to see us smashing a non league team 6-0 and its good for everyone’s morale.

Yeah, was actually a bit gutted when we weren't in the next round of the FA Cup after the Ipswich game.
Love a cup run.

Not sure if we'd have made the Play Offs with an extended number of games though

I would like us to take the FA cup reasonably seriously but I’m really not bothered about the other cup competitions. Promotion has to be our priority.
Depends on our squad, I don't really want a cup run getting in the way of a promotion/play offs run :)

Happy to win a few rounds in this early on as we can use it as match practice. Once the games start piling up less bothered.

Who were those long to be remembered wins against and in which competition?

What are you getting at? I said I like a cup run and want us to go for it a within reason.

To be honest I remember our cup successes far more than any league games over the years.

Don't get me wrong, the FA Cup is a completely different matter and is a competition I always want to see us give our best shot. The League Cup however is just an unneccesary distraction and there is pretty much no real reward until you reach the semi finals. Only last season we had a 'glamour' game against Spurs and had a below average crowd! If we had drawn them in the FA Cup it would have been a guaranteed sell out with everyone scrambling for tickets. I'd much rather we use the League Cup to give some of our squad players some competitive game time, and who knows we might win anyway.
