Wasn’t that fussed about Darling. Decent enough but unconvinced he could make the difference really. He’d have been a nice free to bolster the squad but I think we need to be focusing on a vast improvement at CB.
Not just at CB…although I quite like our starters there. I’m hoping we stick with the majority of the squad and get in 3 or 4 (or 5) quality players.
A few improvements, on what is already a very good championship side, could make a great difference.
He also wouldn’t fix either of the two glaring issues with our current CB corps: pace and experience
He would be next seasons Jamie Paterson methinks, good player in his day but not certain his day is still around as such, as he is from Wrexham I have presumed he would be off there
Lawrence is a lazy link based on the fact that he did well for Lampard at Derby
At this level he would be excellent. Scored 25 in his last season in the Championship
And we may actually have signings completed which haven't been announced yet.

I said a while ago I think some of the expectations as to the number of signings on here are unrealistic. I doubt there will be that many this summer personally.
I can see 3-4 max ,maybe more if we have outgoings . Think we will bring in at least 2 loanees

I think what others are suggesting is as the squad stands we only need 3-4 players . Obviously like you said if we sell then those players need replacing
I think k even if, ultimately, Lampard wants more it wont be done in one window.
Collins, one of the LBs (probably Bidwell), one of the CMs (Allen or Eccles), one of the CFs (Simms or Asante.)
I'd say that's a minimum, then of course we might decide to cash in on one of the players we don't particularly want to sell if the money if right, probably Wright or MvE.
I can see a loan striker and possibly a loan GK instead of permanents in those positions
