Leicester At It Yet Again! (12 Viewers)

Yes, Sheffield United. They were 12/1 to get promoted, lumped on that each way (pays out for a top 4 finish) for a very tidy payout. As mentioned before, they finished in the top 6 by 24 points despite a points deduction.

If the points deduction is small, why won't Leicester be able to keep throwing money at it? It's what they have done up until now in full knowledge that they were breaking the rules by doing so.

Listen, I hope you are right, I'm just being pessimistic as it's Leicester & they have continually flouted the rules for years.
I think it’ll be around 10 points after appeal. They’ll get hit harder than Sheff U.

It isn't just the EFL that's after them. They have the backing of the Prem and their money behind them. Will be very difficult to get away with it again.

They have a choice. Take it on the chin this time or risk punishment that would turn them into an average Championship side at best.

Their financial backing doesn't seem to be the best. It's been said that their wage bill in the Prem last season was much lower than their last season in the Championship which was by far the record amount spent on a Championship side.
Same goes for the prem. they don’t have the appetite for a legal battle. Hence why they’re walking on egg shells over the Man City thing (who also won’t get what everyone wants them to get)

I fully expect Ipswich to win the league but Leicester will be knocking about the top 6. Defensively they’ll be extremely solid and midfield-wise it’s one of the strongest in the league.

nobody is paying top money to take Winks and Skipp off their hands, yet they’ll be key midfielders in the league.

The only question marks are up top, and the fact that Ruud Van Nistelrooy appears to be out of his depth

I put it more as they want to protect the top sides like Manchester City that make them money and get rid of the lower sides that get promoted. And if the Leicester legal team can get away with it for as long as they have can you imagine the legal team the top sides have.

Winks is said to be on nearly 5m a year. The type of player they need off their wage bill.

As I have said several times now let's wait until August before deciding what will happen. A lot will change in the next couple of months. Even our side could well look different then. Luton were expected to do well last season. Cheap signings will become a bargain. Bigger money signings will flop. If it was so easy to predict the bookies would be out of business.

Don't agree with the first line of that post.
The EPL have changed their rules specifically to go after Leicester after the slippery bastards used a loophole to get off with the charges against them for the 22/23 season.

It looks to me like they're very much in the EPLs cross hairs though what that will entail in terms of punishment is anyones guess.

Isn’t Winks banned from the club for not following living arrangement rules under RVN so the longer he stops the better.
Yes, he was commuting from Essex every day and RVN asked him to stop over one night a week in Leicester but Winks refused.

Why not just adjust things so that any team with a points deduction can't quality for the play offs or promotion that season. No point just giving out points deductions that have no effect on anything.
What a great idea. It would impact them with players who are desperate for promotion to be in the premiership again to push for moves as well. In effect instead of point deductions you could ban promotion for x number of years, I like it.

How many points do we reckon they have gained in the last few seasons with money they weren't allowed to spend? That would be a nice starting point

Good hope we do get hammered. When you’ve seen your club win everything I never thought possible, wouldn’t mind a few non league trips but get rid of these 💩owners.

Think even you’ll retain the M69 Trophy too this year.

What’s the general feeling about the season amongst your fans?
