Laughed at a report that Man City have signed 33yo Bettinelli (apologies if spelling is wrong) as back up goalkeeper.
It says he hated his time on loan at Middlesborough, when he confessed he didn't play that well. It says it was during the 2000/01 season, which, if my maths is correct, would have made him 8 years old. Very harsh to throw a kid on at that age, and ask him to play in goal at that level :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:.
I’d have an 8 year old Bettinelli in goal over Collins any day of the week

He isn't anywhere near as good as his brother. Very interested to see how he progresses )or otherwise) It's a good/great deal for Sunderland imo.
I have loose connections with the dad Mark and spoken to him a few times. He has said that Jobe had better natural ability than Jude but Jude had a much better ethos and work ethic where Jobe was less bothered with training and more bothered with enjoying himself when they were both 16-18. His Dad wasn't half bad himself

Bit like Dublin and his brother Eddie. The latter was though to be the better prospect. Nightclubbing the night before his Leicester debut.

The whole 'Jobe' on the back of his shirt instead of Bellingham smacks of narcissism imo

I don't think I'm ready for how insufferable this lot are going to be this season.
It will be interesting to say the least. I think Sunderland (for one season at least) will quickly be replaced by Blues, Leicester and Wrexham. Should keep the Sky Blue twitterati busy!!

Wrexham too. Many fans think they will walk into the Premier League. Its not as easy as that. Ipswich were a one off with class manager and big budget. They may well get there but will take 3-5 years to build a squad capable of promotion as we know.

There using AI for their signings, so this either will work out amazingly or be extremely funny

Also

They signed 2 players using AI in Jan and they did fuck all i believe? Happy to be corrected though.
Think this is a mistake, I don't like Wilder but he suits that club, gives them that us against the world mentality as if everything is against them when the reality is just he, and that club generally, are shithouses.

‘AI signing’ is a hilarious concept, some data company is enjoying some fat bonuses off the back of that. If only they hadn’t relied on blockchain signings or NFT signings when they were in the Premier League, they might have stayed up.

They are only using the free AI database
They haven't stumped up for the premium paid version by the looks of it!
There's something suspicious about this AI database that I can't put my finger on...

92 points and sacked is kind of mad
Taken alone I would agree.

But he had a good squad which without Hamer would have failed much earlier. How about the amount of fines they got for their antics after games where most were caused by Wilder?
