We didn't spend £10m on him in the first place, or Simms.

We need the money if we want to spend this window. Vik's £4-5m isn't going to go far on the shopping lists people have.

How do you plan on improving that position then? If you’re buying in England, the price will be inflated and abroad, you run the risk they may not adapt.

We’re chasing promotion, if we sell our top scorer from the last 2 seasons you need to sign someone to make an impact this season, immediately.

Wright isn’t going for anything less than a base fee £15m.

If we got £12-15m, that's an awful lot of money even in the current market. You could build an entire squad for that.

Look at Sunderland and the money they've spent on strikers. The European market would be the best bet.

Agreed. Norwich got Sainz on a free ffs

You're hero Latibeaudiere and those donkeys Binks and Collins cost us shit loads of goals.

You can add Sheaf to that list the amount he puts; over the bar and somewhere between the post and the corner flag. 😂

For a composed midfielder he does suffer from nose bleeds on the edge of the penalty area 😆

We already have a striker better than Sunderland’s ones…

You’re not getting better than Haji for £5-8m.

It's true. Surely Frank can get him scoring from those positions - he appears to think he's got to try for the top corner, but as you say he balloons them way over. Just needs to keep his head and keep the bloody ball down.

Why would you want to actively sell someone beneath their market value? This is where I don’t understand the logic
As someone said yesterday his market value is 8m on transfermarkt. Nobody has suggested less than that. I said I would take 10

I swear people saying they’d take 10 million for Wright are on drugs. Or just thick as fuck like Briles

Yeah I was watching the video of last minute winners the other day.

First thing I thought when watching it was why would any crackpot want to sell this guy?

It was the same when he first came and took a few months to get going saying we should ship he back to Turkey. He's was out of form after his injury that's all 🤷

To be fair there have been a fair few posters saying we will be lucky to get what we paid for him
Well I've said 10 and prodocs tampon fell out as per usual.

TM massively undervalues improving players tho. Look at almost any transfer value graph on there and it shoots up when an actual transfer is made. Then hovers around that value until the next transfer.

In truth nobody knows his market value except the club and the team willing to pay. So it's all guesswork

Well it’s his worth to us and other teams innit. I can see the argument his worth to us is diminished cos of how Lampard wants to play, but he’s shown in a setup that lets him do his thing he’s a twenty a season striker consistently. So to the right team he’s easily worth £15m+, the question is is the right team out there with that cash and how much do we want to cash in and get someone in a style more fitting to the system 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah I don't think he necessarily fits Lampards style, which is why I'd say if he left for a profit then fine

So not £10m or better than Wright then. Have you got any actual suggestions?
As was clearly stated earlier, he's a different type of striker to Wright, and could potentially fit our style of play better, and might even play as if he gives a fuck in our must win games.
