Just put CWR thinking it was Sound of Sky Blues but it's some bloke I've never heard before whonstsrted the show saying in the papers this morning rumours of Rudoni going to Newcastle. Any ITKs got any info?

We'd probably be promoted by now if we didn't sell our three best players over the last two seasons.
Which is why DK should accept no less than 75M for Rudoni, who has 3 years left on his current contract.

Interest in Rudi will be widespread I’d imagine, with how he’s come on since Frank has been here .
Might be interesting bargaining chip , with player(s) thrown in , from any prem team , for any perspective sale ?

On past experience £35mn

Depends whether we’re in a reasonable cash flow position (including King’s ability to dip into his pocket). If you sell and book effectively a £25m profit then it gives you theoretical wiggle room to bring in four £20m players on 4-year deals and pay them £25k a week. Yes, I’m fairly confident we wouldn’t do that but for Y1 it’d net out as ‘break even’.

can’t see us selling MVE or Rudoni. Last time we sold our 2 best players we finished 9th, if we did that again next season would be a re build season and we can’t afford to do that, can see us having some gykores money and maybe move sheaf on and a few of the fringe players, should give us enough money for the players we need,

Yeh but Sunderland fans think Bellingham is the best midfielder in the country so surely Newcastle will sign him

Last time we sold our 2 best players but we also had about 14 players under contract and had to undergo a massive overhaul. We’re in a completely different situation, you’re comparing apples with oranges

Brentford sold Watkins and Benrahma after losing the play off semi final - replaced them with Toney and Ghoddos and won the playoffs.

We can get better if we get our recruitment right

It's optimistic to think we will keep hold of either of them, down right bonkers to think we will keep one of them. It's sad but in reality Rudoni was gone the second we fell out of the play offs. He *might* give us till January but that's it.

they finished 3rd both times, and Had some quality loans in, if we sold rudoni & mve we’d struggle to get 3rd

We’ll keep both of them for another season, rudonis had one good season let’s see if he can do the same again, he’s not premier league standard yet

Rudoni will be gone I fear
nah i reckon he will be here another year unless it’s silly money.

he’s learning directly from frank lampard and he’s had the (half) season of his life in a club competing at top of the table. Imagine what he will be like after another season especially if we start of firing on all cylinders

He'll stay for one more season - dunno why people are wetting the bed about him going this summer,he's had 1 full season with us & only property came into his own the last 6 months
Calm down some of you ffs

Which posts are 'wetting the bed'?

People saying they think he'll isn't wetting the bed, it's just thinking he'll go, nothing more.

If the interest from Newcastle is genuine, he'll almost certainly be gone, that's just a fact of life.

And the time for bed wetting isn't when big clubs are circling our players, it's when they're not.
Liverpool mate of mine was talking a bout Trent AA going but think it’s relevant here, I think he might’ve been requoting a journalist: said that want to be in the position where bigger clubs are trying to sign your players. Shows they’re doing well/can make money etc

He went onto say, from a liverpool perspective, you don’t want to be signing players from Real Madrid…gotta ask why would they be getting rid of them? A la Casemiro, Varane etc

We are a selling club, we have to be to keep us in the black. I was rather hoping it would be Wright and Simms but if the money was really that good then it will be Rudi.

If you were a buying club analysing Wright and Simms IMO what you see wouldn't make you rush to splash the cash but Rudi.I think the interest will be high.I'm with you on hope I think we have to improve in that area.

We also got to the semi-final of the FA Cup and that massively detracted from everything! When we played hull the game after the semi-final we were still very much in with a chance but you could see the mental toll it took on players, staff and fans!

Rudi is now our prime asset with Milan being the 2nd highest in value, i would of thought. Would be nice to keep them and add by reinvesting money from dales of the likes of Simms, Wright and BTA but if the money doesn't come in for those 3 then the club have no other option. Creating depth in quality is the aim, so if 2 of the top are sold we need 5 quality signings in across all dept.

Unless deals can be made where we as part of a transfer we can loan the player back with a reduced fee.
