Yep pleased to see a less fashionable club win their first trophy. Kind of takes me back to 87 (though we played the opposition off the park, unlike Palace). The Ultras thing is a bit lame, but they made a lot of noise all the way through. Probably would have been silent if they were getting spanked!

I've disliked them ever since Kit Symons made disparaging remarks about cov in a post match interview.
Must have been at least 20 years ago but from recollection it was an away game that we'd dominated but lost late on.
Asked what he thought of cov's performance, he waved his hand, said I couldn't care less about them and walked off.
Just pissed me off at the time and it's how I've seen Palace ever since.

What did you expect then to do against Man City? Go all out guns blazing leaving massive holes for Man City to exploit and then beat them easily with their superior quality?

You could argue that's who we got to the play off final in 22/23. We had a deep line with McNally Fadz and Doyle, quite often played the box to pack the midfield and then hit teams on the break with Hamer and Gyokeres.

I'm happy Palace won, I don't like Man City who are like football magpies, their "song" blue moon was originally sung by Crewe, oh it's so great when they "do the Poznan" & they seem to be stealing sky blues off us, traditionally their light blue shirts & scarves had a maroon trim which on scarves I've seen has been replaced with a dark blue trim like ours. Oh, and they are bloody cheats with their owners pouring millions into the club under sponsorship deals and their football by a million sideways passes is fucking boring.

How old are you ?
I'd be interested to know.
Man City were a huge club with a massive fan base & a great home ground @ Maine Road...well before the dollars arrived.

I don't think you know your history ?

They were a big club but had fallen somewhat in 80s & 90s & even early 2000s when they were relegated with us in 2000/1. I've seem us win and draw at Maine Road but when I started going to watch us in the mid 70s apart from a league cup win their best days were behind them. Which bits of history don't I know?

Funny isn’t it - years ago teams/managers would moan about the amount of time added on…. Nowadays now they add 7, 8, 9, 10 minutes it’s now not enough…….
Depends if you’re losing or winning I guess.
hate a bad loser manager - Klopp was the worst.
