Don't really want to predict anything until the squads of various teams start to take shape, but just for conversation and picking a few teams out i'll take a pop at the following
Us.. We'll be top 6 pretty much all season.
Ipswich.. Will win the league imo.
Leicester.. I hope they get punished properly, let's see what happens.
Southampton.. I know parachute teams are nearly always up there but there is something to the string eventually snapping on the yo-yo, they look a lot worse than the last time they came down. Probably will be up there but not ruling out shitting the bed.
Sunderland.. will lose to Sheffield United and be in the play offs again with us. Revenge?
Boro.. Need to sack Carrick or they will fall short again.
Birmingham.. Genuinely think they might try and cheat and spend more than they should hoping to go straight up. They need to do quite a bit for that to work, their squad isn't all that good and has strong mid-table vibes as it stands.
Wrexham.. Will sign enough to stay up, just. But they have a lot to do, their squad is way off Championship standard.
I'll include WBA just for you.. Can't see them doing much, depends how they invest from the sale of Fellows which is something they need to do now really.

Ruben Selles has left Hull after 6 months, pretty shocked at that. I wonder if he has another job lined up?

Hopefully I'm wrong. But i don't feel like any bad teams entered the division for next season. Birmingham apparently have a season ticket waiting queue , no doubt after their success last season and huge investment, I also happen to live in bham and there is a buzz like never before with them and their owners and we all know about Wrexham and their investment/expectation. Id expect both to stay up and who knows even compete at the top end of the division.

Norwich will be up there. Ipswich as well. Birmingham will do well. We will be up there if we keep most of this squad or if we take a risk and have a huge rebuild and King puts his trust in Lampard and Lampard gets it right whom he brings in we could go up automatically. I know @Saddlebrains has said not to expect too much comings and goings, I do feel though Wright and Simms and Sheaf may be gone in order to allow lampard to spend money on better. Upgrade those 3 alone and we probably have enough to challenge top 2 as Kitching and Thomas are getting better and more experienced and unexpect us to not leak so many goals next season.

This is simply a very hard league every season with not much to choose between most clubs. Wrexham I expect will find it considerably harder without being able to take the piss against their competitors and their dinosaur manager too.

Not sure you can play kitching & Thomas with that high line we’ll be playing, need a bit of pace there, but your right theyv’e both improved loads, quality over quantity this summer

Looks like Wrexham are going to splash the cash on some more old dead legs the agents must be rubbing their hands together.

Not sure why you think, at this stage, that Norwich will be up there next season, or Birmingham. They’ve el. League 1, we did too. Having money is one thing. Good enough recruitment is another.

Just think Norwich have good players and if they start well I could see them challenging. Birmingham will spend big and inthink outspeed everyone and be there or thereabouts. Hope not obviously as while I used to be ambivalent towards them their fans have seemed to grow an almost Sunderland level obsession with us in recent years.

Yeah, you may be proven right but at this point, Norwich have been average. I’m going to reserve judgement until I see how squads are shaping up pre season.

Same with Birmingham and Wrexham. I know Ipswich did back to back but as we’ve seen with Pompey, Derby and Oxford, it’s a big step up.

Here is another team I expect will make play offs.....Stoke City.
Just got a feeling King has some serious bad with Robins still judging by his comments both on the club site the other day and I'm his comments on final day in programme v Mboro and that he also shares my view Stoke will be a threat which obviously if they were would put scrutiny on him again if we were under performing for whatever reason.

A lot for Norwich will depend on Sargent if he is still there

He will get till Christmas and Robins seasons start after bonfire night so he probably will have started to turn round the inevitable bad start they have. Stoke i think will have a much bigger budget than us, is that right?
I’m f the story is true that Robins pushed to get BTA for us then they will need a big budget as his good footballer radar may be broken.

I don't think BTA was a bad idea at the time. Top scorer at WBA and a hard worker that Robins likes , I can see why we went for him. What baffled me though was having signed him as a striker I think Robins started playing him on the wings or more usually keeping him on the bench and when Simms was taken off playing Bassette ahead of BTA which seemed to me to set BTA back as he didn't know his role. So in hindsight it seemed an odd signing. All that said, in any event, BTA isn't good enough for where we now want to be, which to be clear has to be challenging for automatic promotion. The form this calendar year has been only below Leeds and Burnley and nor far off them either so we now need better than BTA and probably Simms as well. Even Wright may need upgrading as well as my feeling is he has lost a yard of pace. He is 27 now and a big unit so his pace will start declining soon.

Just been glancing through FLW and saw a few headlines about Hull, their owner is a hot headed trigger happy nutter, sacks Rossinor (who is a good coach) for Tim Walter then sacks him because he's shite, yet Walter was meant to be an upgrade, Persues Ruben Selles who's kept them up after all that turmoil then he gets sacked, now been linked with Will Still (who sounds like a generic name you start off with on Fifa career mode) and also Plymouth manager Miron Muslic.

That'll be a bad combo, Muslic who speaks his mind and an owner who's a proper hothead, man we're lucky our club ain't chaotic like their's with an owner like him

Ipswich playing like a team who are about to have a difficult summer.

Delap gone, McKenna will go eventually. They’ll do well to keep hold of Cajuste and Hutchinson. Clarke will be the key man.

Think they’ll be sound as long as they keep McKenna

Their reserve team turned us over in January
