I'd say in an ideal situation we'd move 10 players on.
Is that a major overhaul? Possibly, but some will probably want to go to get first team football,
like, Binks, Bidwell, Eccles, Collins, Allen, Raphael.

Some we need to improve on, like, Simms, Wright, BTA, JDS, Wilson.

That's 10 players, most are decent at Championship level, but won't get you out of the Championship, and certainly won't be good enough for the Premier League.
Simms and Wright have had enough time , BTA not good enough

I wouldnt be adverse to that. The front line needs freshening up a lot.
If we want to be able to press like lampard wants, we cannot afford to have passengers and those who cant press. We need people who are willing to run for 90 minutes and harry.

I wouldn't sell Wright, BTA I'd keep as squad depth, Simms I want him to do well but I'd probably sell, we need Bassette out on loan and bring in a couple strikers, but firstly I think we need to sort out the defence, desperate for a new GK but at the end of the day it's going to be exciting summer window

Wright is proven to score goals at this level. Yes he’s frustrated everyone in the playoff run in but for me we get another decent left winger in and stop this fucking about with moving him to the left and give him a whole season down the middle so he knows where he’s gonna play and can focus on improving in that role. Only sell him if we get a good offer.

Sell Simms and BTA if we can get at least back what we paid for em and get a decent striker who will challenge wright for the starting 11. Develop Bassette he has the one thing the rest of our forward line up don’t have and that’s pace and provides a good alternative if you need to try something different.

I’m done with Wright personally. If any sort of decent money comes in to move on then take it. Maybe 5m plus?

He has really annoyed me last 10 games. Offers next to nothing and the amount of challenges for headers last night were non existent. If we are playing one up front in effect it has to be a strong big guy. Might not be fast but needs to put himself about a bit.

We have tried wright for 2 seasons and think it’s time we all move on

Simms has scored 8 headed goals over the last 2 seasons which is more than the likes of Carlton Morris (4) and Keiffer Moore (3) who people have suggested would make better aerial threats.

Nice to see evidence that neither of those wouldn't actually be what we say we want. I'd want better.

Sounds like a few players will be shifted this year. I'm going to be the odd one out, the squad we have has good players... (we made top 6 and played Sunderland off the park both games). We struggle to score goals yes and we concede possibly more goals created by our own mistakes than any other team. I'm going to defend our strikers and say that with the new style of play (possession, slow, methodical) it often means they have limited space and are hunting scraps. For me Wright can clearly bury the ball in the net given the chance, BTA is okay, it's about how we find the strikers. We've been somewhat tactically exposed by the low block playstyle and I'd assume FL will be looking to add players who can break lines (wingers, CAM). When you look at the top teams in the championship, lets say Leeds, they have Dan James who is rapid but if he's not effective against a low block team then they can throw on a completely different profile player in Wilfried Gnonto who's tricky and breaks down defences. That's something we are missing and I'd expect FL to bring in. I do think we will bring in some good talent and looking forward to next season.

We aren't spending anywhere near £15m on 4 positions.

We've already reportedly brought in a LB on a free and we won't spend more money on another GK. Not if Dovin hopefully should be back by October/November. I would imagine we could pick up someone fairly decent who's OOC.

Hopefully we invest in a ST and CM though.

Can see a loanee in both positions. I think Frank will use his Premier League contacts to get us a young player in each position

It's important we try to utilise the loan market. I suspect we'll look to bring in a one or two to add competition but always difficult as parent clubs want them playing week in week out.
And if we can loan in the right players I think they would in some capacity, whether that is starting or coming off the bench . Can't see us singing loanees just to warm the bench

This close season could we have a highly modded transfer rumours thread that is strictly transfer rumours, no chit chat or speculation.

Bassette is heading to L1 or the Belgian leagues fast - he’s been a dire signing.

I don't think that is necessarily true, I don't think he wants the badge that he relies on his contacts in his game to provide him with superior loan players

It's a bit of a myth anyway, or rather the label severely lacks context. I'm sure his affiliation with Chelsea etc. helped, but he wouldn't have been able to bring those players in without Mel Morris writing blank cheques at the time.

Why wouldn’t we? We will likely have funds from gyok, wright, and maybe sheaf leaving. That’s without considering van ewijk could leave for significant funds too.
