I love us to go back in for Doyle, been in the championship more then enough plus we all know his quality, he'd be a brilliant pick up but depends on what Man City want for him, maybe they might do us a good deal considering Lampard played for then and he seems best mates with Pep, he'd be happy to come back too I reckon

Would love us to go back in for Doyle, 7 assists this season and experienced now, despite still being young. Just not sure on the finance side of things if it's possible.

I can't see him breaking into their squad and they will probably want to get rid and quick but we know DK is a good at negotiating a deal so who knows mate

They are going to want a possible 8 figure fee for him so yeah that's not really on.
Like I've said to in reply to Jimmy, they might want to get rid of him quick as they keep farming him out and can't see him breaking into their first team mate, DK is good a negotiating so we may have a chance plus if we don't go up then DK will want to make sure we're even better prepared squad wise to go one step further

Think Doyle is an interesting one since based on his comments he’s looking for a perm move. Maybe we could get a 7 figure sum but with a high sell on? Either way without a big sale, might be a step too far if in the championship

Why would we get him cheap? We are not going to be the only suiters if they do sell him.

Yeah, whats he valued at? The fee could possibly be spread but the wages i think would be an issue, it would mean breaking our wage structure for sure, unless he was happy to take a lower wage.

From what i understand at the moment

Collins
Binks
Bidwell
Allen
Sheaf (but for some reason hes brought a new house in Stratford and joined the golf club so dunno if that's now changed)
Simms
BTA

Are the ones to be shifted on

Stoke and Portsmouth sniffing round Eccles
Think it’s clear as day Simms is going considering he was unused on Friday.

They are in the driving seat and would want a good price as it is helpful to their FFP position

The way Pep is happy to give younger ones a chance, you'd think he would have given him his chance most certainly by now if he was in his plans.
Thing is their squad is set for a massive revamp, players like De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva will be gone, Walker is already at Milan, Grealish will be sold too, they've dominated for a long time and the cycle is coming to an end, what I'm trying to say is yes pep is willing to have the young kids in but I'm sure hell go out and buy some ready made defensive stars aswell as attackers to get back to dominating again so may not have Doyle in the first team picture.

At the end of the day mate it may well be a long shot but it's something I would persue, see what happens with him

Agreed, can't seeing him breaking through there now.
Like i say, i'd love it if we did pursue him on a permanent, just can't see it finances wise. From what the player has said himself, sounds like he's fed up of the loans and wants to his next move to be a settled one.
We'll see what happens once we know where we stand i guess.

Regardless of the league we are in, it's going to be an exciting summer transfer window, expect a 134 page thread on some Argentinian CB who's going to sign, but eventually go to Forrest then loaned out and never be heard of again, will even have the Big JH sign off

I’d take a back line of MvE Thomas Doyle Angel Brau

Get a RB in along with Lats Kitching and Dasilva that’s defence sorted IMO.

Need to upgrade the second string at CM. I’d get rid of Allen and Eccles and upgrade.

Up front probably needs the most surgery ironically considering our goal scoring record. I think I’d sell Wright BTA and Simms, keep Saka and EMC and bring in two wingers and two strikers.

If we can move Binks on we should also.

Just the 9 new signings then

I think writing off Wright is a bad move at this point. Im convinced (granted it might be copium) that he’s carrying an injury or playing with injections and thats why his last few games now have been all at sorts. In the last month or so If he couldnt play as EMC & BTA were injured we’d have noone on that wing, with patterson and raphael also not fit enough.
Im convinced they made the call haji could play through in order to rest EMC.

Apart from the top 3 maybe, every single other team in the championship would want haji wright on their team. He needs stronger competition

Tuesday night will give us a clearer idea of the path we will take in the transfer market. Looking forward to seeing how FL and DK work together on a much needed revamp.

Dolan, Blackburn
Taloverov, Plymouth
Salech, Cardiff
Ivanovic, Millwall
Aasgaard, Luton
Musaba, Sheff Wed

I think some of these would improve our squad.
