Why is it his turn to turn up on Tuesday he hasn’t done it for the last 10 what makes you think he will this time.

Oh well just drop in that other striker scoring for fun then.

No, we genuinely can't.
Players stood like goons with their arms in the air as Isidor walks through unopposed. MVE putting it in the net for them.

Yet again, we lose a game because of our own horrendous gaffes. I can’t remember the last goal another team scored that wasn’t gift wrapped. When we sort out the goalkeeper he gets shafted by his defence anyway.

Consoling myself with this, Sheff U would rinse us,at Wembley, put the days expenditure saved towards my ST and would rather see them go up than the Mackems
I booked a bank holiday weekend trip to Scotland on the assumption we looked miles off the playoffs. I’ll be too busy eating haggis to notice which red striped set of twats is going up.

It was odd in the first half that they rarely played the ball to Wright. They played it across the back line to Kitching or Grimes and then they cut back and moved it to Van Erwijk or Rudoni. Then when Wright did receive it he was bullied off it. I can't imagine that he can't get up for a game of this magnitude so I don't know why he was so passive. It happens far too often. I can forgive players who aren't good enough but give their all but not players with talent who don't. I think he was the only player on both sides that didn't.

Yep, drop Wright.

Lampard needs to have a chat with Poch. He's fucking miles off that USA squad and they are hosting the World Cup next year.

Simms has to go toe for toe with O'Nein. He's fucking twice the size of him.

Put competent and hungry players who have a point to prove and a system that works. Problem is how to implement that by Tuesday? Wright is lazy, Simms lacks confidence, BTA lacks height and has limited ability, Sheaf dawdles and can’t get a shot on target to save his life. Also FL has no idea how to unlock a team playing a low block. He always plays a high line and has no plan B. Regis Le Brie has done his homework and they’re halfway there.

It would be insane to drop Wright.

So, drop Wright and put in the goal machine that is Simms? The player that hasn't scored since the 15th Feb?

The sensible answer is to replace BTA with Simms. You keep your top striker in.

Wright wasn't as much of a threat last night, for sure, but right at the end, the only thing that prevented a goal from him, was a brilliant block in the 6 yard box.

If there's a penalty, you want Wright to take it, not Simms.

Wright is our best striker. You play him.

Paterson deserves a chance. Maybe he can fashion something. Clutching at straws at this point to find an answer.

We are a 1 man team at the minute going forward. Hesitant to criticise Saka because his work rate & delivery has been good the past couple of games, but like the rest of our forwards none of them look to be a goal threat. For a team with so many options we are relying on a Rudi header or bit of magic for a goal

I think he goes in the summer if we remain in the championship.
I think I'm ok with this now. Get a decent fee and see who else we can get in.
As i said in the match thread, I reckon a few of our strikers go in the summer.

I would keep Bassette to be honest. Send him out on loan to a L1 side and see how he gets on.

I really like Wright, but he can't carrying being this inconsistent. It's damaging to the team and if Simms is hardly scoring at all, he is a burden to us as well.

Can we afford to lose all 3 though, all at the same time? BTA, Simms AND Wright.

Good strikers are not ten a penny.

It's a dilemma.

I think Wright will have a good game on Tuesday though, you just wait and see. Same goes for Simms, if he's picked

We can afford to imo yes. Good strikers aren't 10 a penny, hence we don't have any 😆
In seriousness Wright is good but he's off it way too much and if he's the major sacrifice for Lampards war chest then I'm ok with it.
