I'd like too see those posts as well mind.

the Sunderland fans generally agreed after you hammered us that we completely deserved everything we got. there was absolutely nobody said that you were lucky to win. there was surely no coventry fan saw Sunderland that day and came away thinking "aye that Sunderland are a good team and they played well against us today"? Surely not?

we were absolutely hopeless that day, we deserved the tanking we got and we are all perfectly well aware of our completely shit record against you.

Just to make sure everyone understands the position - I've seen few SAFc fans who are confident of winning this round against you. SAFc are in terrible form and there will surely be an inquest at CCFC if we play as badly as we have been over the last few weeks and months and you lose. If we play as we have been you should wipe the floor with us again - most certainly at your place.

furthermore our home form is rotten. We have gone from being unbeaten at home in the league to being beaten off Hull City, Blackburn Rovers, Swansea City and QPR and cant win for toffee at the stadium Of Light.

There is zero arrogance on the part of SAFC fans here and very few expect us to beat you over two legs.

We cannot play you as we have been playing and beat you over 2 legs - that's completely out of the question.
Think Sunderland fans think that’s the best we’ve played all season in the game at our place , it wasn’t, we had a midfield with Allen and torp in it, no offence to them but our midfields a lot better since then, we weren’t great either

We have no idea whether that was the best you have played or not - we don't watch you other than twice per season. what we do know is that you deservedly thrashed us and we were played off the park; whether that was your second string midfield, your third choice goalie or whatever - we were second best - no question.

You didn't need your best performance or best team to beat us because we were fucking shit, as we have been for weeks/months now.

I'll be perfectly clear to you and all the coventry fans on here. there seems to be some of you keen to project the SAFC support as arrogant or treating you as "little old coventry".

Lets completely blow that one out of the water.

we have a terrible record against you going back decades, we are perfectly aware of it and I haven't heard one SAFc fans making disrespectful comments about either Coventry City as a club or your team. I havent read or spoken to any SAFC fan who thinks that we are going to win, bar the usual brave hearts who would predict us beating Liverpool with 10 men (every club has them).

This is going to be a massively difficult task for Sunderland - there is no doubt about that - and the way we are playing we are vulnerable at coventry and on Wearside.

If we don't find some form in these two games then Sunderland have 2 very long nights ahead of us.

id hate to be your manager if it all goes tits up, and not sure I’m buying the “ we’ve been resting players“ line , I know you tied up 4th spot ages ago but the difference going to the play offs with a bit of form is massive, you’ve made a tough job even tougher, all on the manager

that is perfectly correct. It is his fault IMHO and he has totally ballsed this up. As a lad/lass said on our forum last night - we should have tried to chase Sheffield United down, not down tools (if that's what we did).

Last week the bloke came out and said that "we are now trying" after pretending that we haven't been trying.

It made no difference whatsoever as we lost away to Oxford United and at home to QPR. We were useless in both games.

the fact is, again IMHO, he lost the plot and was found out at the back end of last year and has been trying to come up with another tactic that works, after our superb start. He hasn't found it.

We are now relying on our team to somehow now play like a team that should be 4rth in the league table, not a team that is 23rd/24rth in the form table. that is very difficult to do but the entire season is now on the line.

either we buck our ideas up or the season ends for us next Tuesday.

It is as simple as that.

Will Sunderland play any better than recent performances - we are about to find out.

You're proving to be very popular on your forum, @Rob Roy

Not really interested. I say the things that others wont. I'd be interested to hear a Sunderland fans argue with the points I've made because they are all true.

Clearly what I've said has resonated or people wouldn't be looking in on my posts.

Was probably the best Haji has played all season. Was Rudoni even in the team?

Allen was superb that day - we also didn't have Simms playing

The way people talk on both forums as if being over confident or pessimistic either way is going to have one iota of influence on proceeding!

I am confident Lampard will have the players in the right frame of mind though, doesn't sound as if they feel the same about their manager.

Yeh ive seen a lot of posts on here referencing our over confidence as if posts on this forum relate to the team in any way.
I think we'll beat them, but I doubt Jack Rudoni will read my comment and suddenly assume it'll be a walk in the park.

It hasn't been announced, but there are people on the RTG message board who keep tabs on this and they reckon about 35k so far - Attendance Thread - Coventry City (Play-Off 2nd Leg) (look at post number 3)

Some Sunderland fans are waiting too see what happens on Friday before committing.

Really, where did you see that, I've not seen anyone suggesting anything like that.

Tickets, to non-SC holders, only went on sale at 10am this morning.

There was around 35,000 sold after lunchtime and there's two days before the first leg.

I see the media wankfest for Sunderland has kicked off big time, most msn has plucky Sunderland favourites to get past us and one I saw was ‘Coventry managed to sneak into 5 th place’
I suppose when we knock them out, it’ll all transfer onto Sheffield Utd and we’ll still be lucky Frank Lampard’s Coventry City!
Objectively, Sunderland have been in the top 4 all season and we didn't get into the top 6 until March for the first time, so relative to them we've come in late.

I think Rob Roy needs to have a good look on RTG, they are discounting us and a few post re Jimmy and the Luftwaffe doing a shit job, some right Neanderthals there
It's an excellent forum but, as with most, there are posters who say things they probably wouldn't in real life. One of the best things, about Sunderland, is that away fans can go into any pub, there are no designated home only places so everyone is welcome. I've noticed posts, on here, about Scumderland and Stadium of Sh*te, etc, which just encourages a response and is a shame. Both clubs have suffered a few relegations recently and now seem to be making progress, one of us, perhaps neither, will go up to the PL so let's enjoy it while we can.

Dortmund chiefs spotted in Newcastle for negotiations to sign Jobe Bellingham, 2 days before the playoff semi.

Hopefully will unsettle the young man and cause him to drop a stinker.

It's accepted that he'll leave this summer tbh, but he's incredibly professional, for his age, and loves the big games. It's been wonderful to see him develop and he'll leave with our best wishes, I'm sure of that. He'll become a top player and represent England before long.

I haven't seen a great deal of you this season but I did watch that game at Burnley where you missed two penalties, it feels like that was a pivotal moment. You looked quite dangerous that night.
