Is it true theyve closed membership though?
Was told by someone who's a member but they've not been long in it themselves.

Didn't know whether they wanted to put me off in case I was thinking of joining, which is perfectly reasonable
No idea mate, not been in it since pre Covid. Would make sense tbh.

This again

You can get tickets for loads of the away games as they go on general sale quite a bit.

But I can see why people may say it's wrong that a SC can get a ticket for a member no matter how many points they have.

So annoying. A few of us all refreshing before 2pm and nothing. Still not showing as sold out though. Did anyone actually get a ticket in the 2pm band?

I did speak to 2 blokes down at plymouth, who are not season ticket holders because they live in Northampton.
But joined the leamington and warwick supporters club to get away tickets.....

I have over 1900 pts so I don't have a issue getting away tickets, but I thought that was a piss take when he told me. They definitely need to look into how they allocate away tickets to supporter clubs.

Agreed, I think it’s the amount they get. I actually don’t know how many they get but it might be worth limiting it. I have no issue with supporters groups getting tickets but if they all get say 100 each then that’s 500 tickets approx gone.

I know people myself who got tickets to Oxford away from a supporters group. For the first time as they just fancied a close away game. So they can’t be short of tickets.

I think that the amount they get is linked to what they sponsor at the club. I was part of a supporter's club that were earlier this season discussing sponsorships & the benefits and from memory if we paid around £1500 we could get 2 away tickets for so many games.

They get tickets equal to the number of season ticket-holding members, don't they? That's what has been said here before, and by the club.

I thought the issue was that they get that number regardless of how many points those members have — something the club says doesn't happen, but some people from the supporters' clubs claim does.

@Sky Blue Harry H - probably one for you mate. I'm sure this can't be true, this is the kind of thing when people see it that riles them so I'm sure you can put it to bed. Most of what I know is that L&W aren't a top package holder and as such only have 30 tickets per game and it's the same regulars who (mostly) go. Similarly Nun&Bed have around 100 tickets but they are a much bigger outfit. Harry will hopefully be bale to fill in a lot more and before anyone gets at him, I've seen him at enough games to know he'd be in the top points bracket regardless, simply how he likes to travel and removes the complexity.

I know of a few occassions where fans have used the supporters clubs to get away tickets when they havent been to a game in 2 years! Blackpool away was absolutely full of them.
Despite their constant denials and telling us its all above board etc it clearly isnt and its a loophole that needs closing.
Worst thing was when the club openly lied to me about it via email.

Exactly correct. The club are convinced, wrongly, that all supporters clubs tickets meet the required points brackets. All it means is they give the club the required names that do fit and then just give the tickets to whoever asks them first.

if people are that pissed off with fans in supporters clubs and think they get hundreds of tickets then why dont they join one.
Supporters clubs all have open membership for the price of a few beers ?
Spoken like somebody who has abused the supporters clubs ticket allocation system there.

It's the "mostly" that's the issue though. Nobody would be fussed if those 30+ went to the same people every time who were correctly allocated the points and would get them in the first priority anyway.

But when Dave has a wedding to go to or Steph is sick or whatever and they get passed down to whoever wants them it's a bit of a slap for the people that have built the points up.

Frustratingly, I panicked and got a ticket from a mate unable to go up the game in the 1500+ bracket… it made to my sale window and didn’t get one in my name! Shocker.

As above only 3 games have been proved to be even slightly difficult to get and we've still got the same old arguments by those who don't put the yards in. As I've said on another thread, if we get to Wembley this year I've done 50 of our games this season (out of 54 available) and it doesn't bother me one bit who gets what, perhaps selfishly as I know I can get pretty much what I want, but there's nothing other than finances and time preventing anyone from the same, so I don't know why some are so bitter or it causes so much outrage.

Between our group of around 35 there are 12-14 STHs, they certainly weren't offering that many, the distribution of any tickets we would have received could have gone to anyone of the 35

I went to Roker. Trumped! 🤣

Yeah I went there once, coach load of us went from the old Styvechale Arms, game finished 0.0

Spent the night in Whitley Bay after the game, on the piss, traveled back at 2am, absolutely knackered.

Yeah. Although wouldn’t that first season have ‘wiped’ now anyway? Or is that from next season? I dunno. Just musing now.
It's current season plus last 3. Not sure what you quoted but basically 24/25, 23/24, 22/23 & 21/22 currently count. In the summer 21/22 will be removed and 230 points added for new season ticket (or 190 if we're in yhe Prem :) )
