Worst thing about that forum are the few cov fans that go on it trying to make them like us whilst the entire time still getting abuse but taking it because they think it will make them like us .
Nah. It's frickin weird behaviour, but that's a shit analogy.Proper mong behavior posting on an opps forum, like me going on a formula 1 forum and waxing lyrical about football to them

The evidence speaks for itself I'm afraid.
Me (but I've been on there for years - and @Evo1883 has told me off before to be fair!)any from here? name and shame
Probably right in this day and age. Bit different if you asked 10/20 years ago. 1st place is Leicester to those under 40 and Villa for those over it. (in general).
The Sunderland thing goes way back but reared its head the past few years and we actually play them often. Was even in L1 with them at one stage.
I'm in Thailand - so that's one idiot not goingFake rivalry, but I just hope our idiots don't act up on Friday because it'll spoil a potentially great game on Tuesday for those of us who'll be travelling and there's bound to be reprisals from their idiots.
I have less of an issue with it on the socials and tbf have used the terms 'Incester' and 'Vile' myself so I'd be hypocrital to say otherwise. It's when morons believe all the hype of a few nasty internet words and take it into real life situations. Banter and rivalry is all good to a point and that tribalism is part of the fun, but it's knowing the boundaries and unfortunately too many don't have the intelligence to know the difference or where the lines are.Not sure what the issue is with Sunderland to be honest. There will always be those on both sides who try and stoke some kind of rivalry, that doesn't exist. I've glanced at their forum and they are awash with fans stating how much they hate us. Happens on here though too all the time with grown men using words like "incester" and "vile". Weird.
As Rob says, I hope some of our younger (and older) idiots don't kick off on Friday and spoil it for those of us hoping to go on Tuesday. Just waiting patiently for the ticket announcement...
Astute is on here all the time at the momentAstute is on there more than he's on here!
Now you know how I feel on her. Sending love and hugsLooks like they are stirring shit with more made up crap making out our fans attack them every time we play them, throw stuff down on them every game and no doubt trying to influence our ticket allocation.
They have very short memories like their idiots trying to pull the barriers down the last home game and starting on fans leaving the ground and the incidents of their lot throwing a flair at a kid whilst playing Rotherham or their lot throwing a bottle at a Sheffield United player.
They really are a bunch of hypocritical scum. They are always playing the victim, worst than the scousers.
Coventry fans chucking stuff down
Anybody else got a horrible feeling this might happen next Tuesday? Hope not, but i just have a hunch it might happen. Their hatred of us ,mixed with the tension of the playoffs, could turn into violence.www.readytogo.net

Their fans are no different to ours - we think they are shite - they think we are bang average. The Hill comments have pretty much gone from what I see.
It’s an impossible tie to call
cause it is pretty sad to construct a fake rivalryI like the idea of a rivalry. The more the better.
Not sure why people are desperate for it not to be a rivalry.

You'll hear them this time round. After winning 2-0 at home, and early goal up there and there'll be plenty of boo's coming from the usually silent home fans.I'm not into all this tit for tat bollocks but it genuinely is one of the deadest grounds in the EFL.
Correct except for the fact their older fans didn’t mention us for twenty years after the event. It wasn't constructed though, their older fans have ever reason to dislike us.
Is a Sunderland fan really coming to a Coventry forum to plead his case of being one of the worst run football clubs? As a Sunderland fan I can tell you now that there is no rivalry between the clubs over the 1977 issue. I'm 63 so remember the game and the night well and you use gamesmanship to get you to where you want to be. I'd like to think we would have done the same if circumstances were different.
The people intent on causing trouble over the game appear to be a much younger social media element..
the problem I have with Coventry is our shit record against you, but lets be clear - we have been crap for years (9 relegations since 1977 and 2 x spell in the third division) and if anyone thinks our only shit record is against coventry you'd b e very sadly mistaken. We haven't beaten Bristol City at home since 1994, I think Liverpool has beaten us more times on Wearside than we've beaten them - we've lost 8 times at Wembley, since 1973. etc
In essence we have been one of England's worst run football clubs on. and off for years, with low points records etc. blowing in the wind like confetti.
In sharp contrast of course to our early history eg 6 times English league titles - it cost Chelsea billions to equal that record.
Yup, we may well. But then we could just as possibly get tanked up there in the 2nd leg. They've only beaten us 3 times in 19 matches from 2000 onwards and haven't beaten us in 11 attempts since 2007.
Yes that means we're due a loss but I've never been so confident of beating them. Especially at home.
I think all this goes out of the window in games like these.Yup, we may well. But then we could just as possibly get tanked up there in the 2nd leg.
Our away from has been pretty awful.

Tanked at the Stadium of Shite? Best joke I've read on here for a while.Yup, we may well. But then we could just as possibly get tanked up there in the 2nd leg.

But all form goes out of the window in a cup/knockout game. Everything that has gone this season is irrelevant. Especially in 90 mins at Wembley.Yep, but last 10 home games, they're 21st in the form table so the SoL hasn't exactly been a happy place for them recently. And I don't buy the 'they've been resting' thing that others have been trotting out.
