Looks like they are stirring shit with more made up crap making out our fans attack them every time we play them, throw stuff down on them every game and no doubt trying to influence our ticket allocation.
They have very short memories like their idiots trying to pull the barriers down the last home game and starting on fans leaving the ground and the incidents of their lot throwing a flair at a kid whilst playing Rotherham or their lot throwing a bottle at a Sheffield United player.
They really are a bunch of hypocritical scum. They are always playing the victim, worst than the scousers.

You've only got yourself to blame for going on there!

Just a bunch of wankers. Not the bottles of piss raining down on them they need to worry about, more the sacks of shite on the pitch.

They need to get it into their heads that they don't really register in our thoughts as rivals. It's a thing they've tried to whip up in recent years but nobody really gives a shit.
There is definitely a rivalry of sorts that’s developed over the years. Not saying it’s a huge derby, or that both sides care evenly, but it definitely exists - and that’s good!

Curiously the only fans in the country not to own camera phones and so being unable to provide any evidence of said 'hoying' 🙄

Their almost universal headloss at having to play us is most amusing though.

Utter rubbish from them. We've taken our smallest following of the season there for the past two seasons. We don't care about them like they think.

There's been no significant trouble between the fans since that season where it kicked off everywhere. The only other thing I can remember is their fans kicking off in front of the Channel 4 cameras for the nation to see.

They had a few fence rattlers out this season too. It"a all comes from a handful of toothless cretins from Weirside. Nobody else gives a shit.

They make this place seem sane. I think the rivalry is stirred up by a small minority.

All Sunderland fans I’ve met haven’t mentioned JH or their hatred of us. It was also never an issue when we played them until recently either.
Most the ones having a go at our jimmy probably weren’t even born when that match was played , and most of us who were around then hardly remember it , and just like our relegation at villa park they never sent us down we got relegated because we never got enough points all season, just like them that season of the Bristol draw.

Let's be honest, their hatred of Jimmy hill won't allow them to have a rational opinion of us no matter what so we shouldn't worry what they think of us
Ideal time to get Jimmy's face up on the big screen. 🤭

I might have missed the allocation that they are giving us , but I wouldn’t be surprised if they reduce our numbers for the 2nd leg …..

Not announced yet, but in the past they’ve given visitors a full allocation of 2000 for the p/o’s. 300 odd less than our initial allocation earlier in the season.

As a newbie, I’m interested to know who you consider Coventry City’s main rival(s) to be.

When I was reading about the club, most (outsiders probably) said Leicester City, Villa, or Sunderland.

Probably right in this day and age. Bit different if you asked 10/20 years ago. 1st place is Leicester to those under 40 and Villa for those over it. (in general).

The Sunderland thing goes way back but reared it's head the past few years and we actually play them often. Was even in L1 with them at one stage.
