So, long story short. I got contacted yesterday to be told I've a job interview at Halfords at 1pm on Saturday. Don't get me wrong, I really really want the job, i also don't want to miss the football.
I have a season ticket, but don't want to put it on the exchange incase my dad ends up having a lunatic sat next to him.
Do I go for my dream job, or blank it and go the match?

Ask them to bring it forward a couple of hours , you must have told them your interests on the application form .
A dream job at Halfords , you must tell after Saturday .

Go to the job interview mate, it's a job you want and earning money to pay the bills and put food on the table is more important, hope you can make it for the second half to watch us get in the playoffs

Could you jump in an Uber to the ground as soon as the interview is over? Make it in time for some of the second half? I’d be happy to cover the Uber fare if that makes it possible.

Good luck for the interview. That’s more important.

Football is very important in my life, however I think the interview is the priority in this case. Ultimately it’ll be Wembley and Semi-Finals after that will be the most memorable if we get there. You can watch the Middlesbrough games on TV in a pub.

That said my Dad did re-arrange his wedding day to attend the 87 cup final. He got divorced in the end, so he actually made the right call it seems 🤣🤣🤣

Simple solution. Arrange for the interview to be at 1-15 in the South Stand concourse. Hopefully be nice and quiet.

@peteCCFC you thought about a career at the ride cycle shop on Lockhurst Lane? Much nearer the ground so you can pop out and watch the game if you are on shift. Just say you are off to the bogs and when you come back 2 hours later advise them to give it a few days before they try and use the loo.

Ride is long gone mate.
Shame, was a decent shop.

Good luck with the interview, way more important for you, keep the ticket and speed up to the ground for the second half or last 15 minutes, you won’t want to miss that when we’re winning, the celebrations will add to the day.
