Can you define “tripping” & “Referee’s consideration” for those of us struggling to comprehend the laws according to Shmmeee?

When you start to answer the holes blown in your argument sure. I’m saying the referee was wrong that’s not hard to grasp.

He can’t be wrong. It’s
“HIS CONSIDERATION”

If it helps you to escape with some dignity my consideration is different than the referee’s but that doesn’t make him wrong as per the actual law

Impeding requires:

“Impeding the progress of an opponent means moving into the opponent’s path to obstruct, block, slow down or force a change of direction when the ball is not within playing distance of either player.”
And Dasilva moves into his opponent's path because he catches his leg as he's running back.

Accept he didn't consider anything he just pulled that red straight out.

Who's fit and available is going to be key to the outcome on Saturday. If we get a few back and a few showing up playing as they can like Wright and Simms we should be ok. If its the alternative it will be a very tough 90 odds mins watch and probably not go our way.

The only thing that worries me about the players coming back is that we have repeatedly seen them as not match fit 😳 when players have returned from injury - Sheafo and Wright being two specifically but I have the faith !

I had a dream last night that we were 2-1 up, Rudoni and Asante with us scoring an own goal. I woke up after 60 mins though so sorry about that

Exactly that. We could well have MVE and Thomas back, but that's no guarantee at all that they would be at anything like approaching 100%

Sheaf, especially, has taken ages to get up to speed at times.

At least with MVE it's only been 1 game out.

I have zero expectations purely due to the fact we have no goalkeeper
Is that a nod to who's in goal saturday? I expect BC to play now tbh, it's a huge risk playing either. (I would play BW personally)

Will be interesting when the dust settles to hear whats really gone on, know you mention hes fit @Saddlebrains but something doesnt add up with it all, lampard isn't stupid to keep picking him error after error.

Thats exactly what he's doing mate

People don't want to believe it, Wilson is fit, has been for weeks

Lampard is just being stubborn

Lampard worked wonders to get us into a top 6 spot. But he's also the one costing us it

A lot of loyalty for a player who is getting sold according to people on here.

Without Lampard we wouldn’t be in this position now. I feel that’s a triffle unfair really. He didn’t get Dovin injured with an ACL and yeah we all agree on Collins but let’s not pretend Wilson is much if any better. On Saturday Collins had a great game and kept us in it until the error. And we are all praising him massively

My view is Lampard might be a tad stubborn but his options are limited and with 1 game to go I’m not sure it’s a game changer .

That's the worry, even when he is having a good game he is capable of an absolute brainfart

I don’t think he does. He doesn’t change direction. He’s heading for the ball. It’s a coming together, there’s no attempt to challenge or trip the player.

You aren’t going to convince me otherwise. A rule where a player can get sent off despite doing nothing wrong is a ridiculous rule and not what’s written in the laws of the game.

He needs to try Wilson. There is no way we get through 4 games to get promoted with Collins. He'll probably have 2 fine games hopefully tomorrow being 1, but the stats and everybody bar Lampards it's seems eyes show that he is simply incapable, however much Frank wants to be proven right on this

It was only two years ago KOK that Wilson was Golden Glove winner in the Championship, he's always been pretty reliable for us.

Whilst I agree it's not a game changer, Wilson over Collins is certainly an upgrade.

Wilson is much better.
He's crap, but he's much better.

Logged out Saturday... wasn't going to allow my week to be consumed by this game, which I still make us favourites to win.

Hoping for a confident, front foot performance, like we did against Sunderland & Baggies... rendering our goalkeeper redundant.

It could be a case of our recently improved home form getting us to Wembley in our next 2 games... You have to be positive!

Enjoy it for what it is... rather than going over the rule book for JDS's red!

Thought he would at this stage. Look thats on him. We discussed it to death, not doubting your sauce re BW fitness but it's just all a bit odd.

Lets just get behind everyone Saturday, inquests can wait until after the play offs hopefully!!!!

More importantly any noise re MVE, Thomas?

Yes, Collins did have a great game up until the error, but if Haji Wright played really well, but then missed a penalty that cost us points, he would be rightly criticised and especially so if he kept missing penalties and gilt-edged chances
