As it goes, I think we will win on Saturday and barring the best defence this level has ever seen throwing a freak amount of goals in will be enough

I am very relaxed about it tbh, if we do it great and if not we clearly are not good enough just yet, I back Lampard to have a good summer with the players and bring his own men in where he sees fit regardless of what division we will be in

All in all it does not feel as black and white as the other year, we knew if we failed to go up the spine of that team would be picked apart, Hamer and Gyokeres would be off, the loans would be off and we would have to go again

This time around feels different, anyone we want to keep is hunkered down to a long contract so anyone who wants them will be paying the price that we want and the club is all round in a better place to go again

What will be will be, but I will go for a 2-0 City win

Collins
MVE Thomas Kitching Bidwell
Sheaf Grimes
Sakamoto Rudoni Wright
Simms

Wilson, Lati, Binks, Burroughs, Eccles, Allen, Paterson, EMC, Asante

2-3 final score with Nick to bump the referee thread after 11 minutes when a throw in on the half way line is given to Middlesbrough.

Honestly think we will miss out, there is no momentum, no fight, injuries have a cost us and some absolute clangers in defense .

Full of bad cliches here.

Are Boro going into the match with momentum? No.

Millwall are, but unfortunately they’re playing a team who is in better form and a team who are yet to lose at home. Likewise, Blackburn need to win away v Sheff U.

Barring significant upsets, it’s a shootout between ourselves and Boro.

Saturday had my nerves shredded throughout, this is going to be absolute torture.

Just got to pray that at least one of (ideally both!) MVE and Thomas are back.

And that Collins doesn't play.

And that Simms remembers how to play football.

And that Bidwell goes through some sort of Benjamin Button process this week.

Apart from that we're in good shape 😅

We will win saturday, quite comfortably. Recent CBS results back that up.

What he does with GK - I just dont know now. Calling Wilson up now feels unfair on him, playing collins still is madness. I think he will pick collins, I would probably go with Wilson now.

As we’ve all said it’s a must win and you can sense either Millwall or Blackburn will get a result. We are all critical of our defence/GK (it’s fair after recent slip ups) but we have to do better going forward. Last 4-5 games (aside from WB maybe) we have been incredibly poor going forward with no direction or structure. Even the 10 mins before the red card vs Luton, the ball went forward and cleared unchallenged nearly every time. Simms has shown glimpses but not enough. If that’s happening you can’t sustain welcomed pressure. BTA must be hungry and offers something different. Middlesbrough equally have defensive frailties and BTA can offer a bit more tenacity up front (let’s rerun Swansea). I do think Wright through the middle would suit Middlesbrough but I highly doubt EMC can start, picking an eleven is almost impossible with injuries, it almost picks itself. It’s a big game and we need big players to step up, about time too, a few missing for the last 5/6.

Not sure what I feel about this one just yet.

Be interesting to see what happens tonight. We might then have a clearer picture.

It feels unfair to keep playing Collins tbh, might sound patronising but I genuinely worry for his mental health - He is costing the team points and nobody rates him

Wilson and the type of character he is would be absoltely chomping at the bit to be playing Saturday and possibly beyond

Fortress Ricoh will see us through on this one, I'm feeling pretty confident. I'll also predict a 2-0, think we'll get an early goal to blow the walls off the CBS like against Birmingham in 2023, and it'll be a great atmosphere beginning to end.

Well, I can't sense Millwall getting a result at Burnley. Burnley will almost certainly be playing to win the league as champions.

I think Blackburn have a better chance at Sheff Utd

We'll beat these, they are far more the type of team we are good at playing

Honestly can't see us winning with Collins in goal, Middlesbrough are going to be throwing everything at the keeper and defence for this one.

As shit as we've been away from home against teams set up with a low block, our home record is exceptional. The fact Middlesbrough have to come at us will help as well. Its not as if they are coming to us in any sort of form themselves.

I think we'll rise to the occasion like we have in other home games in front of big crowds. I'll be a lot more confident if MVE is fit.

Start BTA over Simms, and Wilson over that useless twat.

I have a feeling that a draw won’t be enough. I can just see one of the two below us getting an unlikely win.

It’s going to be some atmosphere though and what will be will be.
A draw might be enough. To get above Bristol city. They have a 4 GD above us. We have a superior goals scored. Which should be cut significantly vs Leeds. And you never know they will not have an easy home game Preston who need a win too.

So theres lots of permutations. I think we got enough in us to draw.

Cant see wins for blackburn and Millwall.

Mbro have to win so the game should suit us fine, so long as Collins doesn’t chuck the first goal in, we’d struggle if they just sit back, injuries have caught up with us but with a full house we‘ll get it done,

Perhaps if we won one or two of our recent must win games we’d have been home and dry. Who’s laughing now?!

Must win isn’t it. Could even secure 5th let alone the playoffs depending on results tonight and on the day.

Been posting squads all season but will just back Lampard on the day including Collins as trying to stay as positive as I can so I’m not a nervous wreck on the day 🤣
