Results were ok other than Middlesborough. We live to fight another day

Beat Sunderland with a vastly improved performance and everyone goes into intl break on cloud 9.

We played like we were 4 up not 2 down.. Wright not even close although giving him minutes was like we excepted we had lost the game. The 3 next games could be a hard watch if this performance is repeated.

Bidwell, bless him, comedy gold. If he doesn't spill a drink all down his front on the coach home, I'll be amazed.
That was genuinely one of the worst performances I've ever seen from a professional footballer.

The ball was way over the goal line before the second goal. Goal should not have been awarded, a goal kick should.
It's every week. I swear they are getting us ready for VAR so we don't kick up as much of a stink about it.

Hadji has had the odd bad game in a city shirt but that's the worst I have seen and it wasn't all down to fitness he just didn't look interested
He looks like that sometimes, with Wright I honestly think you can see how it's gonna go (in terms of his performance) in the first 10 minutes. It's strange he stayed on tbh as he showed nothing to suggest he would be a threat

That’s his role, have you not watched any of the previous games?
Yes I have and it’s annoying me. He’s a midfielder, not a centre back. It’s not helpful trying to dictate play that deep

I hope FL gives them a kick up the backside. Pathetic performance. Wright and Bidwell get a 0/10. Most others were not much better.
Wright clearly isn’t fit, looked an absolute mile off the pace. Bidwell had a shocker, lucky not to be sent off.

Bad day at the office that.
We knew it had to end some time but I'll take been in the play off chase going into March but we need to be a bit more savvy than we were tonight
I wish the end of our run ended with a fight rather than that wimper

He looks heavy, immobile, terribly rusty and worst of all uninterested.
Trying to get him match fit, I hope that decision doesn't cost us. I thought he would only get 60mins.

We've won one midweek away game in over 3 years.

The club need to start looking at why that is.

We just don't seem to be on it when its a midweek away.

Is it something in the pre match routine?

Think it's just one of them shit, flat performances you get from time to time. Defo deserves to be vented about on here though, it's therapy for having just watched shite i find.
Unfortunately it does make the Sunderland game a lot 'bigger'.

1-11 miles off tonight. Put it down to an off night but they are shit. Too much side and back passing. Looks like results generally went our way. Need a react well now and get a result against sunderland

In my despondency I can see us dropping out of the top 6 over the next 3 games.

I was thinking this but couldn't be arsed to check and assumed it's probably just me noticing it when it happens and stats don't back it up. But that's shocking.

I have stated in the past I wonder if we should look at training times etc. to get the players bodies prepared for when the game is actually going to be played?

2 goals conceded in each of the last 3 games.
Maybe calls for a return to 5ATB not that daft.

Despite FL trying to say the right things about avoiding complacency, staying focused etc, we’ve ridden our luck the last couple games and our defensive frailties have surfaced for a few weeks now. That needs to get fixed pronto!

well that was an anti-climax but all runs have to come to an end. lets hope its like we've seen in past seasons, a one off bad result that we kick on from.

slightly worried it won't be as we've had some lucky escapes in recent games. big weekend coming up. Middlesbrough will fancy their chances against Luton so we need to be at our best for Sunderland. Get back to winning ways and things will be looking bright again, if we don't, and Boro pick up a win, we will be getting nervous.

Don't dress up a fair few of our recent performances - we ain't been great.
Today not massively different. Law of averages caught up with us.
Stats say this also;

Interesting that - do we know roughly where we switched to 4 at the back. I’d definitely argue we were playing 5 at the back when it peaked on that graph

Had a feeling we’d lose tonight but didn’t think we’d be so pathetic… we started brightly and had a bit of a swagger but then just crumbled, pathetic.

352 would have been the way to go, seems to only play 433 to shoe horn in EMC anyway.

we saw the old Wright tonight, weak and didn’t seem one bit interested , terrible.
