You have been emotional the whole time. Your first comment with the block capitals a prime example, and the rest of your practice has just been an emotive, like-hunting, exercise wanting to whip up a storm because you're having one of your argument ticks. You've tried to suggest agendas attached to the original news story, which isn't the case either.

If you really care about the ill taste of all of this, then perhaps just stop now and leave the discussion to get back on track?
What's with this persistent attempt to try and speculate about my mental state?

If the word "earth" in capital letters is so offensive to you then I guess we should leave it there, yes

How can it possibly by right that this piece of shit can choose to stay in his cell rather than attend the trial?

The theory behind it is that it’s better having someone remain in their cell than have them disrupting a trial which could distress friends & relatives of the victims who may be in attendance.

Should be case by case really. I imagine there’s more sickos who get off on one last chance to see the impact on the public than ones who feel really bad about it. As long as they have all their rights respected I don’t see why we should allow criminals to disrupt their trial tbh. That Southport guy was pathetic.

Simple really, just hang him.

I do wonder why the CPS and the police went ahead with the rape charge once he’d pleaded guilty of the murders.

He submitted a not guilty plea to get a last vestige of control to an audience. He can make his surviving victims listen to the harrowing details of a two and an half hour rape

It’s sick making. People who justify being rejected by women for any retribution are scum.

There's a whole world of these dangerous incel types who think women are some kind of singular entity that owes them time, attention and whatever else, and are not in any way prepared to find out that's not how it works, It's scary.

I have 3 adult daughters and the whole thing is just revolting

I’m going to tread carefully on this one but I do wonder if in his weird sick head being a triple murderer is deemed acceptable but being a convicted sex offender is not.

Horrible fucked up c**t who I would be genuinely happy to watch die in agonising pain.

Can’t even begin to imagine what those three women went through and what the father, sister, family and friends will continue to go through for the rest of their lives.

Programme on the Beeb tonight about this, with John and his one surviving daughter talking about the love for the ones they lost.
Heard a few clips and quotes on 5Live this morning. JH was asked whether he saw it coming, or whether he had any indication that Louise was in a controlling/coercive relationship with Clifford. He answered that he never heard raised voices and he never hit her once. There is clearly still a major shortfall in many people's understanding of coercive and controlling domestic violence if those are the only defining characteristics. They noted that there was "gentle criticism" in public and he put her down to her family members on many occasions. They say that reports in the press that there were clear signs of an abusive relationship were not true. Sure, those might not have been indicators of the ability to commit horrific and brutal mass murder, but the relationship was an abusive one, just not in the way they recognised.

I just wanted to raise that, as there is far too much of it going on. I don't mean to be disrespectful to the Hunt family. RIP Carol, Louise and Hannah.

Hindsight is easy isn’t it and generally people assume they don’t know people’s relationship and that they’re consensual. Abuse victims often don’t call their abuse abuse at the time either. It’s such a hard line to tread, the only one to blame is the controlling c**t himself.

What came across as slightly odd in the excerpt i heard, in which John was clearly in tears, was that he and Carol seemed to communicate with Louise through TikTok. I will admit to knowing nothing about that platform, other than a perception by me that it is for pre-teens to pout and practice various crazes, but is it conventional to talk to your parents through it?

That is very strange, might suggest that the control was such that her communications through more conventional means were monitored?
