I’ve been consistent on this point all season: we’re not as far off being a solid playoff to automatic team as we think.

We were 2-3 players off as the season kicked off and signing Grimes, we’re 1 or 2 starting players off being able to compete right up there.

A starting team of something like:

MVE
Thomas
Kitching
Bidwell
Sheaf
Grimes
EMC
Rudoni
Wright
Simms

That team there is not far off being a top 4 team in the league.

100% - I’d go as far and call that a top 4 team if our defensive form continues. I don’t think Thomas or Kitch are bad individual defenders.

I’d fancy that team over Blackburn and Sunderland, comfortably. Even teams like Middlesbrough, Norwich and maybe even a Mowbray-led WBA. Carlos Corberan was the best manager in division in my book so I expect WBA to drop off.

The proof will be in the pudding, we’ve got most of the teams above us at home so we’ve got a massive opportunity to claim multiple ‘6-pointer’ wins.

If Rudoni bags a few more goals between now and the end of the season he has had a very good 1st year with us. I think he will only get better and is another that the fee seemed high but will prove to be a shrewd bit of business.
