So we send a teenage midfielder to Motherwell on loan (Kai Andrews) and then look to sign a teenage midfielder on loan from Chelsea????
Chelsea’s teenage midfielders are better than our teenage midfielders

Similar to Bigi here and then up to Newcastle, but from a category 1 academy and you would assume centre of excellence.

He is playing for Chelsea U21 tonight it's live on YouTube. Few nice touches but nothing special from what I have seen so far
I watched his YouTube highlights of the game against FC Astana, and was completely underwhelmed. At least with Stamenic you could see he would add steel and a bit of quality to the team.

Looks quite good at passing through the lines.

He’s quite a big lump. Certainly not playing CDM tonight. Doesn’t look like he’s going to completely transform our season but doesn’t look bad for depth

Just to be clear, people wanted loans. Yes he lacks experience but if he’s got talent to add to our squad then get him in. We were never going to sign experienced players on loan. I can imagine this one being at a very low cost to us as well.

I am surprised he’s playing tonight considering he had food poisoning over the weekend.

Weird what some people see!

Thought in that video he looked really comfortable on the ball and even manages to keep possession when surrounded by 3 players. Decent skills and disciplined enough to keep a good position. Is a cdm ever really going to do exciting things?

He may or may not be what we need though, I don’t know!

Well you must be massively underwhelmed when watching our current midfield 🤣🤣 in those short clips he's already better than what we currently have... picks the ball deep and plays it forward and takes in in tight areas, always looking to be on the turn, I say bring it on!!

You've got to put it into context that FC Astana are the equivalent of league one standard. You don't get that much time and space in the championship. Chelsea played their kids, and won comfortably 3-1.

In fact I've just checked the opta power rankings and they would be 4th best team in league one.

You know that's exactly what these highlight reels are for right? To show the best bits & nothing else.
I'm sure if somebody clipped up his highlights from tonight they would leave out him passing the ball straight out of play etc.

I & others I trust have watched him a few times & he looks like exactly what he is imo. A very talented kid playing non competitive football. I would have enormous doubts over him stepping up to the Championship at this stage.

No. Mainoo stood out a mile, he's a generational talent. Rak-Sakyi is actually older than him too.

I'm not poo pooing Rak-Sakyi's potential at all, he is a very talented kid who will have a very good career, I just don't think he's ready for this level at this stage of his development.

Doyler and Biamou could be spouting shit out of both ends but still give their all on the
Doyle was shit in his first spell and Biamou bang average too.

Made their mark when we were at a low ebb but my god they wouldn’t get into our top 200 players ….

Nobody knew mainoo would cope at all, and at a higher level too.

Maatsen had never kicked a ball in the championship before and he joined us from Chelsea and was quality

Some are hits, some are misses that’s the game you play with a loan deal

The lads clearly got talent you don’t be at Chelsea if you are shit
Werner was ;)

Cheap cover whilst Sheaf is out I guess.
I assume Chelsea would be covering most/all of his wages & they'll just want him to get some minutes & experience. Probably benefits them more than us at this stage though &, as I said before, is a complete departure from the loans policy set out by King & Austin at the forum.

If he’s being brought in as a role player, then it could be a decent signing, I’d be more concerned if he’s being brought in as a starter.

2 CMs this window, a permanent and a loan and this lad could be a nice complementary piece to the squad.

So we know he isn't good enough for us because of the side he played against.

He got forward. He didn't lose the ball. He passed to a team mate no matter how tight they got on him. If he only went sideways and backwards like most of the players we already have I would agree with most comments.

If Lampard wants to bring him in I trust his judgement. It wouldn't be to sit on the bench. We have enough of them already.
