What's redknapp got to do with anything? 🤔

It’s his uncle and who got him the Derby job.

Like what? And we’re suddenly supposed to believe they have close links to both Ruud van Nistelrooy and Doug King now?

This post from another thread calls some of the transfers from the summer window as an example.

Got as much credit as 'real' journos

Lads, that clown is what you would get if GIMOC decided he wanted cosplay as David Ornstein.

As always wait for a proper source

So if I've got this right, King has friendly connections to the Lampards / Redknapps, and has let the world know that Frank has applied for the job. But he's running this recruitment process professionally with a completely open mind, and wouldn't find it at all awkward to give the job to someone else?

Best book at 170% on odds checker speaks volumes. Nobody has a clue and bookmakers have a massive profit margin too.

I came to terms with it potentially being Lampard … BUT … if Ruud is the preferred choice and we go with Frank over the Redknapp connections then I hope Mark sues the bastard.

His record at Everton and West Ham is not bad though and he has won a European trophy. West Ham are doing worse since he left and he is is a stable manager. Even if he is not a swashbuckiling type, those credentials appeal to me.

Picked up on something somebody said on twitter

You can see how big a club coventry city are these days and what a prospect they are to manage when you look at the Cardiff city manager odds

No manager for 5 weeks

Whoever we appoint , what a deck of head coaches showing interest in us. Biggest job outside of the Premiership.

Carsley all day long.

remember….
Rooney
Roy Keane
Staam
Gerrard
Scholes
Tony Adams
Stuart Pearce
Ruud Guillett

Big players, all failed as managers.

RVN is a wild card and Lampard has one more chance otherwise he’s done.

My issue, after Doug's remarks, are that if some of the coaches aren't up to it the head coach will need to bring them up to speed even before he gets to the players or were spending again to replace them. Strange times.

Guardiola , cruyff , Zidane , deschamps , Dalglish, Conte , Simeone , Rijkaard , ancelotti

Not entirely sure Roy Keane failed ? Won promotion from the championship

And gullit won the fa cup? Not a total failure

I'd gladly have Keane & Gullitt from that list over Carsley - besides which,Carsley doesn't want the job anyway (Ruud didn't do that bad at Chelsea did he?)

Gullit’s last job was in 2011 in Chechnya (he lasted five months).
