Not dissipated my anger that's for sure. If anything its worse!
Am I the only person that has worked for many people who behave exactly like King did last night. Pushing out people they disagree with and blaming everything that's perceived to be wrong on the person who has left while claiming everything they've done themselves is fantastic?
Really surprised me how many people are happy to just accept what King has come out with as 100% fact without any right of reply from Viveash or Robins, both of whom are most likely unable to give any response as part of their exit agreement.
Ultimately for me even if what he is said is the absolute truth he's managed the situation appallingly and that gives me concern for him running the club moving forward.
Its not difficult to arrange an exit for Robins which doesn't throw him under the bus and shit on everything he has achieved, it happens all the time. Could have waiting until after the Sunderland game and had a mutual agreement / gone as far as he can / personal reasons or any manner of other things along with a glowing statement from the club, highlights of what he's achieved, a leaving message from Robins wishing the club well in the future, give Robins his chance to say goodbye to the staff, players and fans etc etc. This was not the way to do it.
Laughable that King claimed he wouldn't speak to anyone before firing Robins out of respect, yet had been waiting to fire him for months, and was quite happy to spend an hour disrespecting him on the radio.
Hard to disagree with any of that, Dave. I maybe should have said dissipated the anger from most, if not all, fans.
I'm certainly in the "Don't trust King one tiny bit" camp. The worst part of all this, as you say, is the way he fired Robins and the timing of it all. Robins has given us arguably the best period of success any of us have experienced supporting CCFC. I've been going since 1972 and this, along with 87, has been the most enjoyable time as a supporter. He deserved so much more, but was treated like shit by King. Now, to top it off, we've had all the tittle-tattle from someone who should know better, knowing Robins isn't the kind of guy to air his dirty laundry in public. Pretty shameful episode and I will never forgive the stupid haired twat.
He needs to get this Head Coach appointment spot on. I do wonder what potential candidates think of the way Robins was ultimately fired. Hardly professional, was it?
