Saka looks like a lost child this season

To be fair he’s not a central midfielder - it’s bizarre playing him there

This is a common misconception I hear spouted a lot, the referees have Comms, and the instruction has been to let referees make the decision. Even if a lino sees a foul, unless they believe it isn't going to be given they aren't going to flag, they may have a word in the ear though, it is a common instruction to delay the flag and let the referee make the decision on field.

Stuoid arrogant decision by a referee imo

I get the feeling Sakamoto isn’t a starter anymore - really hasn’t recovered from that injury, kind of like Marosi
He’s good in his natural position, but Rudoni at LWB worked for a half against Luton so we’re going to play this every game until we lose even though it doesn’t suit most of our attackers.

BTA has hardly touched the ball and it’s Haji getting pelters. This board makes me laugh.

Shit shot by Wright but how the fuck was it given offside there were at least 12 players in front of him

Nothing is sticking to BTA
It rarely does, he's always running away from the pass and its a major reason we're not able to build and create.
Bassette is a far better option.

What's so hard about MVE playing with Saka wide in front of him, which works, and Torp at no 10.
But generally it's been unbelievably slow and hopeless. Something very weird about this teams motivation.

It's nothing to do with arrogance. It's taught my the FA/Observers. It's also because the referee decides the tolerance in the game not the AR. It's also to protect the lino's in two ways firstly from any flak from fans/players (rightly or wrongly that one) and then secondly as despite them being qualified referees. You specialise at a certain level. So yes they are good officials but the men in the middle are the top level officials compared to linos who may not necessarily have referred in the middle to too high a level.
