Give Klopp a blank cheque and tell him he can write down whatever numbers he wants to come and manage this team

Unfortunately, he's just taken a lucrative new job as head of Red Bull's footballing portfolio. Can't imagine the FA can offer much compared to that.

Shocking. Absolutely shocking performance. Got exactly what we deserved, nothing.

If we'd have found a way not to lose that game, it would have been outrageous.

Greece deserved that, even a draw would have been harsh on them

England need a massive rethink. The FA have put a system in place to have a conveyor belt of managers without having to attract names but it was boring under Southgate and it looks like it's boring & shit under Carsley.

Was pretty keen for Carsley to be given a chance but can’t defend this performance. Can’t imagine he’ll be offered the job now.
Worryingly - I think he’s got the job, just my opinion but I don’t see them not giving it him at this point

Deserved to lose that, Greece shouldn’t have even been made to play after yesterday’s news so props to them

We have to play 5atb or 2 holding midfielders with this squad and the attackers can’t all play together.

At least we can put to bed this bullshit getting them all on the pitch now.

Would have been worth a 10er or so on them after that news. Should have won comfortably too.

The Greeks got stuck in, the England players just showed no aggression, and casually stroked the ball around as though they thought they were 'better'. No-one took responsibility.

That was one of England's worst ever displays.

I am all for an attacking line-up, but not sure you can put Gorden, Saka AND Palmer all in there

Bellingham, besides the goal, was poor. Foden was poor and Palmer looked like he wasn't anywhere good enough for international football.

Don't think anyone came out of that game well. Maybe Colwill.

So many missed placed passes and missed tackles and lots of use of the irritating trying to walk the ball into the net from around the penalty area.

It was just shocking and without any redeeming features.

Not convinced by Lewis either and Alexander-Arnold did himself no favours at all

You could pretty much make a case for dropping all 11 players for Sunday.

Unbelievable.

Greece better defensively, in the middle and up front. England disjointed and players looking if not disinterested then hardly up for it.

The problem is they made the game too congested. There were very little attacking movement or passing options, Foden, Bellingham, Palmer all want to play in the same space, Saka and Gordon were too narrow, and to add to they both TAA and Lewis spent a most of the game when we were in possession in centre midfield.

You have to have some structure out of possession and you need to make the pitch as big as possible when you have the ball. We made the Wembley pitch look like a 5 aside pitch at times. You can't play inverted wingers and inverted fullbacks, along with packing your team full of number 10s.

Carsley has slipped into the same trap every England manager does and gave into the press clamour to play all your "best" players. I felt sorry for Stones, Colwill and Rice, they literally had to cover the entire the defense whilst the fullbacks and midfield were all over the place.

When you see the last goal back, TAA is stood next to number 10 and doesn't go with him, then stands still watching it all unfold, whilst Solanke has got himself back into the 18 yard box trying to get a tackle in.

Haven't seen it back. Couldn't bear to watch it.

When I saw the lineup, I was a bit puzzled. Bellingham AND Foden AND Saka AND Palmer AND Gordon

Very naïve thinking that and like you say, all fighting for the same space

For me we are trying to accommodate Foden when he isn’t part of the best team overall.
Play Bellingham deeper next to Rice and the give Palmer the 10 role behind a striker.

Here's the winner. And your right back..and in the final frame, your right winger (Palmer) and your striker (Solanke) in green have both ran past TAA are are deeper than him. And for context they are both in that line of 3 by Watkins on the right hand side of the first pic.

On a positive note it seems that the Sky Blues are at the same level as the England team 👍

Oh dear.

Foden is an enigma. He's a great player and really should be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Reality is though, he so often fails to deliver for England. I love the guy, but I don't think he deserves a place at all right now.

Mind, was expecting big things from Palmer and he had a poor game too.

He was poor in the Euro’s and Palmer outshone him. palmer has also has a great start to the season so belongs in there on merit for me, even if not one of his best games tonight.

Giving the gig to Tim off Coronation Street might not turn out to be the masterstroke we all thought it would be

I honestly couldn't give less of a flying fuck about this tournament if I tried.
More disappointed for the Faroe Islands than for England.

The team was too unbalanced today because we packed the team with too much attacking talent.

Ironically, many people were calling for this kind of line up in the build up and during the Euros and today showed exactly why it doesn’t really work because you need to be able to defend.

It was an experiment well worth making, it just failed spectacularly. Over the next 18 months, we’ll need to tinker with combinations to get the team firing but without Kane, we still struggle for goals.
