Equality Warm Up Shirt

It's a colour scheme we've used a lot the last few years but that's by far the worst.

If things weren’t bad enough at the minute, players now have to warm up looking like Kat Slater.

always brings out the homophobes, which is exactly why these shirts are brought out and are needed.
But are ridiculed and remain largely unsold.
That's a strange philosophy you're running with there not to mention an odd marketing 'plan'.

Pretty sure they're just making a point about the vitriol on social media, and how it shows there is still a huge problem. Not sure what the issue with that is.

If I remember rightly, last years shirt sold really well too.

Wouldn't know about facebook etc as SBT is the only socials I do.
I don't think there has been a comment on this thread tho that could be considered homophobic, has there?

Since the LGBT community have far better fashion sense than most of us, perhaps they should be consulted on the design.

It feels like the marketing team have had a meeting and the outcome was ' let's stick some rainbow colours on and the gays will love it'. No thought, no effort.

the classic "gets people talking" might be part of it.
obviously the LGBT+ colours are always going to be a striking part of it, and should be embraced.
who cares if they're unsold, pretty sure the ones last season sold out, i know a few people couldnt get one.

Doug is going after the 'pink pound'.

It depends why they are ridiculed.

If it's ridiculed because the club's undertaking an attempt at inclusivity, then obviously that ridicule tells you all you need to know about the person making it. You can ignore those.

If it's ridiculed because it's not a very nice shirt, well, the take-home is make nicer shirts. This one doesn't seem to have gone down too well, but last year's was popular, as many have said.

Just talking about the shirt.

I bought the similar colour scheme third shirt from a few years ago and like the similar GK shirts from this and last year.

This just looks naff.

As with every version of this "inclusive" shirt, why would you want to pin something to make you stand out by yourself? Especially when 99% of people would accept you for who you are regardless.

Ironically a lot of non LGBT etc people would buy and wear it, so it ends up meaning nothing anyway.

congratulations on having an argument with yourself and winning

My only issue with it is that we've already done the colour scheme better this season

Plus it's flaming, double bonus.

The other clubs versions are nice but ours is a bit too Peter Stringfellow

So the shirt means nothing other than just being another shirt?

Pretty pointless making a song and dance about "inclusiveness" then no?

i dont even know what your point is anymore

im not even sure you do

At some point you’ve got to question whether Hummel is homophobic because these shirts are like some social experiment to see what ugly clothing you can make people buy in the name of equality.

What happened to all the stylish gay people to give them a hand?

This is so shite that most of the lads kept their warm-up jackets on over it. Atrocious looking thing.
It is atrocious, but I assume the rain and cold rather than the design was the reason fir keeping it covered in the warm up.

The good thing is that the shirt design is bespoke. The original concept for the away kit isn’t that popular, let alone among a more niche audience.

Nice idea, poor execution. I do think this type of product should be brought out more irregularly. Otherwise, it seems like an extra cynical ploy to extract yet more money from people.

It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from… when you put the Sky Blue on and wear the badge with pride, we are one!

13° isn't really cold when you're exercising. I'm sticking with my theory of them not liking it as it suits my narrative of it being atrocious.
