What a genius chap he was ,if I'm correct he penned, played and conducted the orchestra all while getting his acting career going.
Cool dude!

Pure soul perfection.

Massive BN fan. The October Man is one of his best tracks. Great film too.

I was a big fan of Bebop Deluxe, saw them live twice live... they were amazing

Always been a fan of Frank Zappa...not everyone's taste for sure.
Saw Led Zeppelin live (like forever ago) and wasn't keen tbh.
But I love Frank's version of this song....bit of a piss take but brilliant musicianship and performed live.

Sting on beeb 2 currently in the park, acquired taste but the kind I can live with , sanctimonious, pretentious, police special to follow!

God the team are good here, the drums are set just like how the brilliant Copeland had them set up!

I'm a huge fan of David Gray. I blast his stuff out in my car and listen through my cans when on here. Very under-rated talent!

[Joe King]

My favourite video on YouTube is Bruce Springsteen's "Ghost of Tom Joad". Tom Morello from 'Rage against the Machine' joins him on stage and gives the most amazing guitar riff! Please give this a watch! It'll blow you away! (Tom Morello at 6:50)

[Joe King]

Roger Waters (ex - Pink Floyd). His fabulous studio version of "Mother".

[wingy]

Spot the mistake.
Presenter Jay leno I think in his intro probably insults them by describing as coming from Australia!

Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft.

I caught some bits of theirs in a BBC doc. Which album's a good place to start? Up for a listen.

Blast this one loud and scare your neighbours!

I would say start with the brilliant Virgin trio of 81/82:

Alles Ist Gut
Gold Und Liebe
Fur Immer

Then maybe explore the Mute stuff like Die Kleinen Und Die Bosen.

They did an album in the mid 80s but I didn't buy it at the time.

Nice one. I'll let you know how it goes. You should give Botch a spin. Idea of someone from here liking them makes me laugh!

[wingy]

Was just having a convo with the family and for some reason was suggesting that Bruno Mars and Gaga's current hit was similar or written by the same person as this, nothing like really but worth a listen again anyway!

A Segway of Nordic material to Inspire our Torp, incoming first off!

Pleased to hear! It's a great album. All those Virgin albums are good.

I love Suicide too. Was playing this earlier as it happens.

Another of my favourite bands. Gangway from Denmark. Great tunes and witty lyrics.

[torchomatic]

McCarthy were (and still are) a huge favourite. Loved them as they were political but with great tunes.

We Are All Bourgeois Now

Currently listening to the rain bouncing off the roof of my caravan in the New Forest.
