Eccles = consistently one of our best and most impactful midfielders
Torp = a couple of bits of impact. Very patchy, in fact we’re trying to justify him via the odd intercept or pass but in reality he’s a way off for me.

Remember when Sheaf kept getting caught in possession on the edge of our own box, and people on here got frustrated with him?

I think the same kind of things happening to Torp.
There's definitely talent there, but he's still to adjust to the pace and physicality of the championship.

Hopefully we'll see him develop into a very good player, and I'm sure Sheaf coming back will help him.

Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Been excellent so far, really really classy player

Would love him to shut people up who claim he's 'simply not quick or physical enough for this level'
Looks like he's really starting to find his feet in the championship, I think he'll get better and better with more game time. When Sheaf is back it will give him more chance to play as he'll have top notch support.

Sounded like he was more at it today? But I still think it will be Sheaf, Eccles and Rudoni as our first choice midfield three.

I wanna be convinced he’s gonna come good because the alternative is Jamie Allen but I just can’t see it. Thought he was rolled far too many times today which lead to them breaking. When the midfield is already lacking we could do without the opposition gliding past him with ease

Eccles was the worst of midfield 3 today? Not that it.makes him bad but I wouldn't be looking to drop torp anytime soon

I have heard that before about Eccles,

then people look at the stats? He stopped a certain goal in the first half.

The player that exists in some people's heads isn't the player that is on the pitch. He just does so much dirty work for us. Graft that fly's under the radar!

Much better today. Missed a lot of pre season and it showed later on but encouraging nonetheless

Some nice touches today. Still need more from him, but would be better next to Sheaf as would Eccles, they're both decent, but it's either or rather than both once Sheaf is fit.

He played his best game of the season so far today, but he's still got a way to go, he was blowing out of his arse half way through the second half, and could of picked up a second yellow at any minute, he also could possibly of done better for the equaliser when he was caught ball watching. (I'm not saying he was at fault, but could of done better)

But he has a great range of passing, and he's still improving and getting better, so I'm sure we'll stick with him.

He doesn't need to "shut anyone up" he just needs to continue to work on his fitness and strength then he'll be a real asset.

Eccles does the not so glamorous role. he runs, he tackles and that’s it. he does a job. passing can be misplaced at times but he does a job. we don’t expect 40 yard balls or killer passes but he always gives 100%

We may not expect the 40 yard balls Or killer passes, but they were a few on show today,
