We look very good on the ball today and would love to see what a full strength would look like.

3 CBs and Trent makes sense moving forwards if Chilwell nor Shaw can stay fit. Only Rico Lewis looks like he’d play LB of the young players coming through but there was talk of him wanting to play as an ‘8’.

We are trying to play brave positive passes in the right areas .. so much better to watch even if it don't come off .. yea we are playing a team worse than san marino but it's all good

We will improve over the months as the players digest his methods
I was an early proponent of Carsley’s, his work with the U21s was fantastic and Southgate - whatever we think of him - has laid solid foundations.

The team now versus 2017 is night and day. Carsley has a track record of a) coaching many of the existing squad at age-group level and b) finding creative solutions tactically and in team selection.

It has to be a 5 or 6 wins this Nations League campaign to be considered for the job full time.

Grealish has directly been involved in us being countered by being too casual on the ball a couple times

Shame Rice did the whole 'sorry for scoring' thing, hopefully Grealish can score and go full Adebayor instead

Please tell me I didn't hear ' Quuen is in a box' or some such. Surely they haven't sunk that low. Apologies if I'm wrong.

Also helped having a left footer on the left whos also got a bit of a pace to stretch them

edit - think he’s naturally right footed but can go with left as well

Yeah let's just forget what happened in '95.
Just the 30 years ago then. How many involved will be there today? Should we still hate Argentina for the Falklands, perhaps Afghanistan in the cricket? Where does it end? England fans rightly given poor press for booing national anthems, seems booing the English anthem is fair game.

If there were going to be two players to score today, it had to be those two didn't it 😂

What is this whole passing and moving, getting players in behind? Are we actually allowed to do that!?

It's a sporting rivalry; don't be so sensitive.

Agreed

However it was also sporting rivalry when England fans booed other national anthems.

Some of us just want consistency.

If it’s fine for Ireland fans to boo an anthem, it’s fine for England fans to do the same

Your reply was to the post about about hatred being taught. I'm all for rivalry, it's important not to lose it, but hopefully post Good Friday Agreement, we can move forward and stop the hating. It might not be this generation, but won't help opening old wounds.

Not sure if anyone has been critical of people booing national anthems.

When you're at home, you naturally try to make as hostile an atmosphere as possible.

Previous joking aside, I see no issue with booing (even if it's not my thing).
