I've got an idea, why dont you fuck off and support racing club, your local team? What happens with the ricoh is nothing to do with you.

Valiant, sorry but I really don't see that's neccessary. I don't always agree with Torchy but you can see from his post that he's being following the City for over 40 years and that is something special. Disagree with his opinion, yes but insult him, no..

And sold by who? And remind me who sold HR? And remind me who had to rent it back? And remind me who pocketed £300K for selling space to Tesco? And remind me who had the second largest salary in the Premier League after the Arsenal chairman?

They are worse. I bet you were jacking off when we were playing the top teams off the park years ago, players brought in by who?

Behave yourself Torch. SISU have "No affinity" whatsoever with CCFC.
Although previous owners got us into difficulties financially, they at least tried to give Coventry a top class team.
SISU have dropped us in the doo doo and not even tried to give us a football team that can even compete. there are a few supporters on this forum who travel a damn sight farther than Torch does, but then that's another story.

I'm really disappointed in the way this thread has descended into personal insults rather than answering the OPs question.

Torchy/Valiant... would you travel 45 miles to watch the City play? If not why not? If yes why? Simples...no need for insults. to me if they are not playing in the City then it couldn't be Coventry City, it has nothing to do with who the owners are or what I think of them.

I have a lot of sympathy with the AFC Wimbledon fans. :D

Sisu have been extremely poor owners but in terms of putting finance into the club to fund it in order to compete they have not been significantly worse than previous owners.

They have been poor in appointing people to manage the business and have been wasteful in applying resource effectively.

They are resented by many and with justification bit any worse than mcginnity, Richardson, fletcher, Elliot etc. probably not.

I only travel to away games now, but I would draw the line at travelling away to home games.
If it's not in Coventry, it's not Coventry City FC.:blue:

No. I would except a temporary move out of Coventry provided it was still in Warwickshire, as its still in the Club's area.

If the club was based outside of Coventry & Warwickshire, even if it was temporary, then it would cease to be Coventry City.

Anyone that continued to follow them would be a traitor in my opinion.

I live next door in pboro so would only be half hour instead of an hour for my season seat. However, no thanks as I would rather drive the hour and see them in cov please. If this happens I will cry but still go.

@ Grendel

I don't for one second claim previous owners to be "Gods" but they at least tried to give us a football team that were competing in the Premier division. The same could not be said of our owners atm in time. Be fair, They haven't tried to give Coventry City fc a chance.;)

Other than Richardson none of the people I mentioned ran the club in the premier league so I maintain my original point stands.

Thing is I already travel 20 miles to watch ccfc this would make it about 65. I could actually cope with CCFC playing in a place like Warwick, Kenilworth or Nuneaton as a lot of our existing support is in those places. But Nene park? No thanks!

Richardson: 'Let's have a punt'
McGinnity: 'Peter Reid will guarantee success'
Fletcher: 'Operation Premiership'
Elliott: 'Give your shares to SISU for nowt'

Failures the lot of them.

I have never lived in Coventry or ever been to Coventry except to go to the football. I have no affinity to the city at all bar following the Sky Blues. So yes I would still go, would be closer for me as well.

But you wouldn't be supporting the same club, it would be a new club.

Well, if Valiant is good at anything, it's personal insults.

Yes, I would make a 90 mile round trip, Charlie.

You would be contributing to the continued desertion of a football club from its supporters and its city.

What about the continued desertion of supporters from the football club?

21,301 average in 2005/06.........10,569 so far this season.
