Id prefer Steven Alzate, better player in my opinion and not as injury prone like Poveda.

There was a interview with him on sky sports news the other day, he and said if he doesn't get a prem club he'll go to a top European league. He stated Germany, Italy and Spain. So I think this would be a non starter. Shame as he's a good player.

I’m guessing this would be as backup / a bench option / Jamie Allen replacement seeing as he’s about 5ft 6?

No idea if he’s any good. Not opposed to this as a free transfer, but his numbers suggest he is not a massive upgrade on Allen who is relatively versatile and a decent athlete.

Wtaff??? Poveda has played in the premier league and was on the books of Barcelona as a youngster.

I'd suggest he's waaayyyy better than Allen.

And Allen has had a heart scare 😱

Still thing there's absolutely no chance of this being true mind.

As I’ve said, I know absolutely nothing about Poveda other than he is short, never seen him play!

Also, if you’re going to quote my post, please do it properly - context is important I said “his numbers suggest”, which adds context to the version of my quote that you posted!

Why are we obsessed with measuring possible newcomers with current players. We need a squad. It has to have depth. Yes, player A may be better than B but we need A and B to get through a season.
Because how many players do you need for 1 position?

If we're playing 2 wingers and Simms up front it leaves 3 midfield places. And we already have :-

Sheaf, Eccles, Rudoni, Torp, Palmer, Allen and Lats who can play there.

Plus EMC and Saka could potentially move from the wings into midfield if needed, and then there's the kids coming through.

So yes we need player A and B, but do we really need players X, Y, and Z ???

Especially with no RB cover no decent keeper and no Godden replacement.

Sheff Weds fans loved him last year

Got caps for a good Columbia team?
He was good against us I recall.

Maybe good was an understatement, the game was a turd but he stood out. Not sure which of the 12 games against Sheffield Weds I'm recalling either. Possibly one of the 5 games at Hillsborough last season.

His numbers were irrelevant as he's played at a higher level, hence they weren't included.

And as I pointed out Allen has had a heart scare, which makes his previous numbers pointless going forward.

Hasn't hurt hamer or Sakamoto apart from aireal challenges, one presumed to be an innocent challenge and the other a huge leap?

I’m really not sure about this geezer guys, like maybe he can dribble a bit but he just doesn’t feel like a big upgrade on Palmer or Allen, and that’s saying something because I really don’t rate either of those.

I’m all for foreign players but I’ve gotta say this one just seems a bit underwhelming to me, been on loan for ages, never really broke into the starting 11 at Leeds, short as fuck, is this someone that we should be really excited about joining our campaign for promotion? I’m not saying it isn’t but my balls really aren’t tingling with this one.

(Assuming this rumour isn’t a load of bullshit, which it likely is.)

A winger as well so why are people comparing him to Allen 😂😂

I read he has played attacking mid tbf, not exactly sure where he’s played for every club but seeing as we’ve got Saka, EMC, Wright and Raphael I don’t see why he’d play on the wing? Obviously he’s suited to the wing but the spot we’re lacking is AM not wingers.

I just hope this rumour is a load of bull tbf, I’m not convinced this is the sort of singing we need atm. Let’s hope we get in a quality CM or GK first then faff around with players like this.

I'm not sure if your aware, but in football it's possible to play a player in more than one position. For example a winger could (in certain circumstances) be used as a central midfield player.

Strange I know, but there you go!

At points last season we had Sheaf, Allen, Ohare(Rudoni), injured with Lats covering right back. I’d have taken at least X or Y then.

He's taller than Maradona !!!

And I didn't quote the rest of your post as it's not relevant to the height comment 😘
Hush now and link me to his YouTube highlights reel so I can be extremely disappointed when he doesn’t sign…

Looked good for Wednesday this season, wouldn't be opposed to it, but do we really need another AM? Rather we spent the money on a decent keeper or CM.

Ok so would you play one of our wingers centre mid?

Good transfer policy though…sign players to play in a position they are not used to!

The annoying thing is, we started the season without O'hare and Allen, we could of used the loan market to cover them, but decided not to.

Who said he ain't used to it?

You do realise we started Wright as a CF at the start of last season but switched him to LM. Raphael has played LW, RW and Striker.
Tavares is a striker but looked better as a winger.... I could go in.
