Yea very true, however,

Hes not played for over a year, turned down 2 L1 clubs in the summer as it was half his wage here, but that gravy train ends in June and is anyone going to take a punt on him when hes sat on his arse for 18 months?

Risky i think
Somebody will I’m sure, there’s always the SPL if he gets truly desperate.

Lati in MF worked against Millwall, not sure it’s a strategy we can rely on moving forward if Torp is out for any period of time.

Mark Robins say's he doesn't now the extent of Torp's injury, well it's gonna be 6/8 weeks innit.

That's F**ked up our midfield then. 🤬🤬🤬

He had been looking at the matchday program and was comparing the size of Stoke City's squad to ours and again having a dig at Doug

That is nonsense. He’s made more public pronouncements praising his relationship with Doug.

Robins is first and foremost, a pragmatist and states things as he sees it. Players are tired and he needs to deflect/manage expectations with the fans.

Thiruvananthapuram, capital city of state of Kerela. Been a busy day took a incredibly scenic boat trip from Alleppey to Kottayam and then 3.5 hour train to Thiruvananthapuram.
India isn't easy but super cheap.
Boat was 29p for 37k journey
Dinner 80p
Train was 3 or 4 gbp
Tea 180 p

Kingfisher expensive at 2.40 gbp. Having my second.

Daily spend averages 9 to 10 gbp per day excluding hotels. I took out 80gbp on Monday and still plenty left.
Looking to traìn our way around. How are they ?

Not his fault is it? Why is he a prick? Have a word with yourself.

Because there were opportunities to leave?

Hence why he's had zero opportunities this season even though Robins is switching it about all the time.

It's strange because Robins has gone from having zero budget to spending £20m in 6 months.

Who decided to spend a lot of money on very few players instead of spreading it out a little.

Probably because the ones he wanted weren’t available the two he has signed will be good enough for the PL.

Absolutely but he's had money to spend. He'd have every right to hammer Doug if he had nothing to spend. We've been lucky to spend the Vik/Hamer money and I'm sure there's some left that he'll get access to.

Again, even missing two of our best players…we had more than enough to win the game. Yes we are thin on the ground but still got quality players in the first 11.

That’s the biggest difference this year for me, if we missed our best players last year we would’ve folded….this year we’ve got better quality across the pitch. If Torp is out, Kelly comes in and does what he did last year.

Frustrating but we keep going one at a time.

W

Wilson Has conceded 3 gaols at his near post in the FA cup games he’s played. Collins is an upgrade
Collins is a great shot stopper. His distribution is very good. But he is shite at catching the ball that puts serious pressure on us at times.

Wilson is a good shot stopper but maybe not as good as Collins. His distribution isn't as good as Collins. But he commands his area much better than Collins and is very good at catching the ball. It takes the pressure off us.

We have the perfect GK between the two of them......

Very few players? Nearly a complete side aided by players that made it all the way to penalties in the playoff final.

Simms has improved his work rate and desire over his last 3 performances. This is how he needs to be now he can’t go back. Fair play to him.

We could have been better today but it’s a lot of games for a small squad. We found a way that’s all that matters. Onwards and upwards

I think he’s put Wilson in today to keep both keepers hungry and on their A game. A bit of a master stroke maybe as they are both good keepers. I like the way Wilson carried himself today he was cool and calm. Did everything he needed to do spot on.
Agreed, also think Wilson suffered in the fa cup games (Oxford and Wednesday 1 anyway) from a bit of rustiness, hence the slightly soft goals let in.

No doubt he’ll start against Maidstone so best to keep him sharp.

Or Robins knew they would be ahite in front of goal as they were but wanted a GK that would be in charge of his area and catch every ball that came near him.

Robins is a master tactician. Doesn't always pay off as he can't control what happens on the pitch but he picks sides that many don't agree with yet we still win. Look at the shite he got us promoted from League 2 with.

Just listened to the Robins interview, he did mention the squad size briefly, but it felt like he more unhappy about the scheduling of games rather than the actual squad size, that it's flogging the players. He's given them 3 days off.

£20m is more than we've spent in 25 years though.

It's clear the strategy is quality over quantity.
Which is what I have said all along. Bring in lots of average players or aim for certain targets that will improve us.

If he had signed lots of average players those having a go at our smaller squad would be having a go at the average players. Robins is in a no win situation with many.

I'll say it again, Stoke is one of the worst away game in the football league for me. Can't think of many worse. Must be what away fans experience at the CBS

Completely disagree personally. Only a 30 minute walk into town centre on the canal - other than the police stopping cov fans going in the pubs in the centre it was a good day today

Whatever it is, he definitely know a lot more than us😂 I’m giving up now criticising or guessing anything he does now because he just pulls it off every time! If he ever leaves my world will be a very dark place!
