Concerned about Ball. A real chance to shine and batter the opposition. Yet he looked Like he found his level!

How was Baker a 4...
Admittedly he missed a sitter and misplaced 1 pass, he must of had 5 shots on target. Was involved with 2/3 of the goals. Some of his play getting it into his feet and spraying it wide was surprisingly very good at times! About 4 crosses were met with awful headers!

Spoke to a couple of people that were at the game. Both said Christie MOM with their GK. Jennings good in midfield although not up to speed at getting attacks going, and Edge always looking for a chance to get forward. Bit mixed about the others. Everyone has a different opinion though.

He didn't do the simple things good enough, gave away the ball a lot, especially in the first half. At least two of his shots were selfish and were the wrong option.

I also dont understand the low mark for baker. i thought he was the only one who looked composed throughout and sprayed some good passes around. deserved a goal.

Did they say the edge was always looking for a chance to go forward!.

Christie had a good game. Just hope when he has a dip people stay with him.

Jennings was good and will get better and better per game.

Ball was very average. We didnt play the long ball so there was no point to him really.
Needed a strikeforce of Cody and Sheff.

Record did enough.

Edge did well, but I felt he did not move out of a 5 meter radius.

Baker was trying to be too fancy. Jordan Clarke looked like a back up centre back. Murphy was fine.

On a separate matter. Malaga apparently struggled to get Instructions today at nuneaton. He is the one who did not speak English.

Lynch was right again

I know wood has facial injuries, however any chance he was not even on the bench to keep him from getting cup tied?

I thought Baker was very poor.

Caught in possession, misplaced passes, balls played straight into touch, knocked off the ball too easily, awful crosses that either didn't beat the first man or sailed over the bar and some poor decision making when he was on the ball.

4 is about right for me. 5 at a push.

Two best players were Jennings and Christie.

Watched from the directors box today so it was a different view to what I normally have. Ball was ok however lacked support, McSheff didnt manage to play off him the couple of times they did link up we usually ended up having a shot at goal, so there is potential there. McSheff was having a bad time out there, everything he tried went wrong, yet Robins said after the game he is a completly different player in training.

Christie, Clark and Edge, were rarely troubled. Edge liked to go forward as well and was very nearly on the end of a cross in open play. Reckord had his worst game for us, Robins was not happy with him and hauled him off after he ignored an instruction to bomb forward. Jennings was busy, mopped everything up, deserved his goal. Fleck like McSheff never got into the game. Moussa was busy didnt really stand out apart from his lovely shot that hit the bar, still think he would be better on the right flank. Baker was poor.

Baker 7 lol He was his usual self, 4 would be 2 more points than hev deserved, He was awful, 5 touches when a simple ball was needed and then his usually mazy dribbles to no where. He put one reasonable cross in , the rest went into the usual places, the crowd lol. Even he was embarresed with the run and shot over the bar at the end of the game.
Baker 7 lol are u a CWR radio commentator ?

CWR commentary!! Bugbear of mine.

It annoys me so when people say we played well based on the radio commentary!

As I've said before, I have CWR on during the game and that first 20 mins were absolutely dreadful yesterday. Abysmal at best, yet Clive Eakin was saying stuff like the Sky Blues just can't get into their stride and they looked a little lethargic etc.

It was a very rose-tinted mild analysis of what was going on, on the pitch. It was bleedin atrocious.

CWR are never hard hitting in their criticism and will always talk of us not being at our best rather than it being dreadful.

Agreed, it is.

Can understand why they do it and they need listening figures and indeed listeners.

It's the phone-in people I am really aiming my vitriol against. These who phone in and make judgments based on what they have heard on the radio commentary.

It's ridiculous.

TBF i think they struggle to get callers and ring poeple who've rung in previously ,while doing the commentary they in effect tend to do a bit of club PR.But in pre=post match disscussion have remarked that its been getting harder to face the experience themselves ,like its been a bit of a bonus covering the Boro,Hockey ,Cricket.

While he may have used a few platitudes I reckon most of us heard it how you saw it ,it was unfortunately in line with what i expected in terms of spectacle not result .The ground Dynamic is really working against us on so many levels,I thought i'd show some solidarity with the unworthy fans who did'nt get a gold badge yesterday and got the usual pious knockdowns from people who think they're Kitchener.:whistle:

Don't mind people who haven't been to the game ringing in. Have no problem with that whatsoever. It's just those who ring in and talk about the game and how good we sounded on the radio and who played well and who didn't.

That is just plain ridiculous.

But Otis, McSheffery is a goal machine in waiting, he once scored 60 goals in the under 15's league

And he just can't grasp how we've had such a poor start to the season, maybe we could bring back Dowies self assessment forms .
