I have a feeling he will this season, I can see us playing 2 strikers. So the midfielders will be 3 of, Hamer, Sheaf, Palmer, O'hare, Sakamoto, Eccles and Kelly.
Hence no need to strengthen.

I can’t see us doing that, we’ve always played four across the middle with one or two behind the striker(s) I can’t see us changing from that. O’Hare Palmer and Sakamoto are AMs. At CM after Sheaf and Hamer it’s Allen, Kelly and Eccles. None of which are close to giving us what Hamer does.

We needed that second goal when we were on top, gave them the runaround for the first 30 in the second half, the subs changed the game and bought them back into it, we need to bring on a better replacement for Hamer and if he goes we need 2 to come in, Eccles did well and I thought Godden had a decent game. It's a harsh result and they will feel relieved, we deserved at least a point.

Don't agree, Godden cost us the game, missed 3 good chances.

Palmer is key his won alot of 1st 2nd balls.
Wright looks like he needs to up his tempo off the ball but on the ball was a joy.
Two new fallbacks will need a few weeks to get used to the more offensive style.
Back 3 looked solid but without fads constant talking might be a different matter.
Any scout watching hamer will be saying add a few mil to the bids.
Gooden.......... Might be better in a deeper role as a sub for Palmer.
Simm is an uncut gem has all the attributes of a good CF but needs the coaching on how to turn a defender and not be afraid of using his weight and pace.

O’Hare will not play CM, unless you're classing the Palmer role today as CM? He will play all his games at AM.

He's played one league game, some of his hold up play was excellent. He'll come good.

Some standard over reactions on here. Apart from that rash shot from edge of the area I thought he looked good second half. 22 year old lad with big price tag is gonna probably feel a bit of pressure/nerves. Having said that I reckon he might’ve finished one of Goddens chances today

Leicester got out of jail there but there’s so much to be positive about. Just want us to get off the mark asap, if we do I think we’re in for an exciting season

Thought the defence were really good. Midfield I thought we were tidy but the 2 in their struggled with the passing of Leicester. Palmer strong on the ball but should have done better with a couple chances. Godden and Simms must do better.

Thomas looked outstanding for most of the match but seemed to tire. Looks better than McNally to me.
Loads better on the the ball and plays the RCB role better, admittedly based on that one game but he adds far more when we have the ball as well.

We haven't had 2 proper wingbacks at this level before, so now I think we'll be able to go with a midfield 3.
But we need far more mobility and pace up front. Simms and Godden aren't the ideal partnership (I know it's only been 1 game)
I think we'll eventually start with Wright and a loan striker up front, then we will be devastating.

Took us 20-25 minutes to settle, but then took control. Simms missed a couple of chances but I liked the look of him, and Dasilva excellent. Brilliant goal from Fadz.

Those missed chances in the 2nd half....Writing was on the wall. We didn't deserve to lose, but you got to take your chances.

I thought Godden was good today, much more involved in the build up play, but he would of burried those chances a couple of years ago. He's clearly lacking a bit of confidence.

I thought all the new signings looked good (Thomas & Dasilva especially, and Wright showed some real quality in his cameo)

Eccles superb at RWB
Palmer - Great

For me today was about the performance, not the result, and we played well against a team favourites for promotion, so not too disheartened, but at 60-65 mins it should of been 3-0 to us, so that's a bitter pill to swallow at the moment

Fucking annoying we’ve probably played a Leicester side that barely anyone else will this season, and we should’ve won

Da Silva and Thomas looked the part, Hamer is different class.
Sheaf was awful and I’m very underwhelmed by Simms….Robins has some work to do with him.
Overall we played well and were worth at least a point. Just needed that 2nd goal.
I think Simms and Wright could be a winning combo.
Disappointed with the result but not the performance.

We should’ve won, but a lot of positives, considering we’ve had a shorter preseason than them, and a lot of new player we’ve done really well today and were unlucky. This seasons going to be a good one

Yes I'm classing all 3 midfielders as CM.
Sheaf will sit, while Hamer and Palmer/O'hare/Sakamoto will have licence to get up and down.

Have to say I was really impressed by Sakamoto in his brief appearance today.
He offers an interesting option, if we do lose Hamer, he could step in and potentially be the answer.

Palmer was excellent in the main, a lot of work to do with Wright, Simms and Ewijk, all 3 looked a yard short of pace and work rate to properly excel at this level.
Eccles was good too.
The game changed when we lost Hamer and they changed Vardy.
Loads to be proud of and be excited about.

we lost away at a team that had their pre season in the Far east - multi million turds - we gave them a massive scare ! and hats off to the SBA - amazing we won that bit - they shit themselves

Yeah, it’s easy to forget about their changes as well. They looked a lot more dangerous later on

Sakamoto was a cameo but there were a few moments where he was stuck in noman's land unsure if to close down or move. Bit like hamer when he first came in, guess we just have to get game time for the players who are used to playing in lower tempo leagues.
Christmas will be interesting with O'Hare coming back. That's 3 players going for one spot. At that point I can see us setting up as a full counter attack team with Simms or Wright
Palmer/Gus/O'Hare/saka two of those 4
Then a flat pair of DM in eclles and sheaf
