If Carl 'hands in the air screaming angrily' Baker is the best leader at out club then we have a problem. :jerkit:

I prefer him to Kilbane, work rate is top notch, and actually appeals!!

All the workrate in the world cannot mask his lack of skill, leadership and ability. Add the fact he constantly berates players after his own mistakes, sulks and moans.
Not knocking him, just saying surely there is a BETTER MAN to captain our club.

No-one is worth the armband, just scrap the captain and send them on the pitch, not like it makes a difference to our team.

Who would you choose?

That's the thing, Wood is barely justifying his place in the team at the minute.....

But seems to start every week. Edj now injured. Our only aerial threat and target of all set pieces. Trouble is he is as mobile as a ferry with the same turning circle and makes FAR too many mistakes

But seems to always remain calm and speaks to the other players well on the pitch (oh the joys of empty football stadiums) I can also imagine him being fairly respected amongst his team mates

I have to agree with Greggs, Baker ain't captain material. But then who is at the club?!

Its hard not to get carried away with blaming the players, they're just not good enough, that's not their fault. We've signed players, that without being to harsh on them, nobody else really wanted, and as much as it hurts, that's where we are. I just hope that under Robins we have one of those flukey periods where a team just clicks and over performs, god knows we deserve a lucky break!

I think the best, sorry only option we have would be murphy for now. He is the only guaranteed constant in the team.

He is 100% not the long term choice but baker isn't going to cut the mustard and wood is making so many mistakes at the minute and as stupot07 mentioned, he is barely justifying his place in the team. Murphy on the other hand is going nowhere!

I know he is not the ideal candidate and he just screams and shouts when people get through, but the captaincy my calm that down a bit as it may make him think more about is actions.

he should be screaming before they are through thats his job to direct the defence as he is watching what goes on in front of him

So he hardly leads by example then?

Murphy would probably be a better choice.

Don't agree with that.

We drew to a MK Dons side who will be up there whilst our players massively underperformed, they were making silly mistakes, and most of the time there was no pressure from them.

MK moved the ball batter than we did, but chance creation was even, I'd actually give us the slight edge on that! (Which says a LOT!)

In fact, in a way, you could say we were unlucky we drew, their goal was a lucky deflection and after that, they didn't trouble that much (bar that 1 chance where we somehow kept the ball out!)
