I know we have the ongoing rivalry. And being bought up and still living in Warwickshire I’ve always had Cov supporting mates. They have been in the absolute doldrums over the past 5-10 years and just continue to defy the odds. It’s only a few years ago they were league 2 and we were at the top...

I hope they get into the play offs and we give them a good beating at wembley.
watch them crying again about cheating and other shit instead of looking at their team and admitting they are just a poor side in the North East.

Vocally they are shite, but you can’t knock their support in terms of numbers both home and away. I also think you’d be hard pressed to find many people outside of Coventry who would consider us a bigger club than them either.

They are a very bitter bunch, I know a few over here in Spain and to a man they are fucking miserable to the core. Their numbers are good but the North East incorporates a huge split between them ( Wearside and the County of Durham and Newcastle , plus Gateshead and Northumberland . They draw on a large catchment but per Birmingham, Everton and the likes of Port Vale, Bristol Rovers etc live in the shadow of Club’s they hate.

Sunderland my late grandad's club, and despite some unfortunate comments on there for the most part people up there are good football mad people.

To paraphrase the Geordie messiah, they do still have to go to Preston and get something though.

Over 48,000 there today with just around 1000 Watford fans.I'd call that pretty good and yes, in club terms they are bigger than us. This who's knob is the biggest thing is a waste of time. Do you base it on trophies/titles won or fan base or fan passion etc. Let the actions on the pitch do the talking.

I dislike Sunderland as much as the next young man.... but they're not tht much of a poor side.... they're only 3pts behind us and could potentially end up knocking us out of the playoffs if things don't go as planned.

But they actually really hate us so fuck the lot of the scummy little dole dossers. They all look like shit, their town is an absolute cesspit and makes Skeggy look upmarket. Always in Newcastles shadow and they just generally smell
