Out of interest can anyone remember an exciting 0-0 game?

No, but weirdly I do remember the 0-0 last game in the Prem against bradford. Maybe because it was our last PL game. Maybe it stands out because it was SO dull it made it interesting. Took a couple of friends who weren't particularly football fans but wanted to go to a game before we came down. They actually thought it was pretty good!

Most memorable part was the Bradford fans singing "Goin' down, Goin' down, Goin' down!" at us and the WT singing "So are we, so are we, so are we" back at them.

Only one game that still gives me shivers is a 5-4 cup game against Nottingham Forest. 2 1st half hattricks.

The midweek 5-2 humbling of 'champions elect' Blackburn Rovers in 1993 felt a little surreal, as did the two victories at VP.

Was at that game. "We all agree Quinny is better than Shearer" Radio 5 couldn't even be arsed with us during the game as they were either eulogising about Blackburn about to be top of the table for the first time ever. They were even talking about the colour of our kit when Lee Hurst planted our second goal from about 20 yards.

Unfortunately the 5-4 v Forest wasn't one of them.
We met in the boozer pre game as usual but decided to stay there and knock the match on the head.

That was a brilliant game. The only match my late Mom ever went to.

Has to be Wolves at home 1967, apart from a great game victory it almost guaranteed promotion to the first division, the pinnacle of an incredible five journey under JH.

Yep, I would think anyone who was at that game would have it top of the list. Great game, great atmosphere, great result. The whole city on a high. Anybody mentioned 16 May 1987 yet?

Was there but didn’t enjoy it, until the end anyway . Nearly had a heart attack when they hit the bar.

FA Cup win at Villa needs a mention.

A lot of the more positive memorable ones I’ve attended have been mentioned but a few that aren’t so positive but stand out are:

Losing to Charlton 3-2 in the FA Cup after being 2-0 up at home when we were in the Prem and they were League 1 (might have been changed to Championship by then). Just an end to end match and a good crack between the fans with them fuckers singing ‘2 nil down, 3-2 up, we’re gonna win the FA Cup’ as they were leaving.

2-2 at home to Bolton (again I think we might have been 2-0 up) and some ginger lad at the front in the crowd for them having ‘Trevor Cleaver’ chanted at him relentlessly for about 70 minutes.

Losing to Rochdale away in the cup in a completely inept embarrassing performance.

Bradford at home on bonfire night when they brought less than 50 fans and, literally, the biggest cheers were for the fireworks exploding above the ground as it ended in an absolute bore draw of a 0-0.

Getting smashed by Watford at their place (5 something) when I had the worse hangover in history and should have just stayed in bed.

Went to that I’m sure we made it 1-0 in the 89th minute to hopefully win what would have been the first time at Villa Park only for them to go straight down the other end and equalise.
Oakey was a great little player being tipped for England.

Not a hugely significant game, but I have a great memory of Oggy’s last game. We beat Sheffield Wednesday 4-1 and sent them down. Beautiful, sunny, end of season, comfortable win.

Thought the 4-1 Vs Fulham last year was amazing and showed just how good we were on any given day.

Surprised nobody mentioned the last game at HR yet. That sticks out song with NC play off 2nd leg, the high scoring and Wembley games already mentioned and some for all the wrong reasons of our many cup humblings by lower league and non league opposition over the years. Used to be a novelty but so many of them now. I don't remember the Kings Lynn debacle, but do so for Sutton, Northampton, Scarborough, Wrexham etc among others.

To this day I find it baffling how David Smith who burst onto the scene with clearly so much ability put in so many inept performances. Looked like he'd go on to be one of the City greats in those early days.

In that respect for me, the League Cup tie at Morecambe in 2010. I had a summer job and made friends with someone else in the office. Said I was interested in going to the game, he said no problem we’ll book coach seats and a ‘mate’ will drive us up. So I bought the match and coach tickets and waited for the lift in the afternoon.

Never turned up. Rang the guy’s phone, he didn’t pick up. Coaches had already set off by this point so scrambled to the train instead and just about made kick off. Aidy Boothroyd fielded Michael McIndoe in the middle and we lost 2-0, I think Jonson Clarke-Harris made his debut. Managed to get on the coach back and then a very expensive taxi from the Ricoh. The guy who said he’d pay me back for the tickets and coach went quiet and stopped replying. All very odd.

I remember Torquay away in the FA Cup. Queued outside the Ricoh for tickets, got 2 of the last 10 tickets.

only for the game to be awful right until Elliot Ward scored in the 87th minute. Crowd went wild and I ended up 4 rows down from where I was stood

JPT semi-final v Preston. 2-1 going into added time, win 3-2 in the 95th minute.

Mood around the club wasn't great having been relegated the season before and not exactly setting L1 alight. Remember every goal and standing there soaking it in when the whistle went.
