I mean it's blatantly stealing the chant from Leicester but it is there best chant by miles:

Doug King had a dream
To build a football team
He got rid of Sisu
And now he's one of our own
With 5 at the back
And Vik in attack
Play up the sky blues
You made us sing that

Doug King had a dream
To make his hair more reem
He kept Dave Boddy
And now SBT is having a moan
Dabo is crap
Joy looks like she's on smack
Sack the board
You made us sing that

Fucking terrible I know, but if I have to read another page on SEO cock measuring I'm going to end up on mumsnet.

To be fair i think they know exactly what they are doing

I now offer any prospective SEO enquiry an opportunity to achieve far more money from my incentive scheme then a base fee which is only in line with their claims
No reputable SEO would ever agree to something like that - if you've got the money, I can point you in the right direction.

That’s the best hope wow bloody hell
What I’m saying is it’s the best hope we have moving forward from this take-over, limited investment in the squad and short-term safety from stadium eviction.
Can you see anymore to this take-over that makes you believe more than that is possible.
Im still certain Mike Ashley will be our owner soon.

The majority want money for nothing mostly with some odd bits outsourced.

Have worked in (not for) some various agencies, they are pretty funny because when you talk to them (when they arent in a meeting about a meeting) they never really seem able to get into much detail about what they do. The one time I did get one of them into the technical details they bragged about some keywords that were getting about 10 searches a month. Long, long, long, longtail but sounds good on the phone to a random plumber or sparky.

It's because there are A LOT of cowboys out there who are happy to take people's money...all this thread has done is prove that they have a big market still.
No SEO who knows what they're doing is going to give guarantees, get paid based on incentives etc - anyone who does should raise a red flag.
A big problem is that a lot of SMBs have an unrealistic idea of the costs of it and end up hiring people who don't know what they're doing - this thread is proving it.

To be fair, if you hire a plumber you want a guarantee that the leak is fixed. Electrician, you want the lights to be working.

I always steered clear of it when people asked me, I probably could have earnt a fortune but as I could never 100% guarantee anything I didn't think it was right for me to take money when in reality they may not see any results in SERPS. They would then go away and pay £500 for a generic SEO report.

If you hired somebody doing SEO full time, you want to see results. The costs would depend on their methods but at the end of the day people want ROI.

Link building and SEO is not what CCFC need though, far from it.

How can anyone make any guarantees based on an algorithm by Google?
Anyone who is making guarantees in SEO should be avoided.
What you're paying for is someone who has knowledge of historical updates over the last 15 years and an idea of where things are going in the short and long-term future.
A decent SEO for an SMB is going to cost several grand a month at least and hardly any of them want to actually pay that - those who do reap the rewards though in the medium to long term.

Several grand a month with no guarantees they would make a difference? That's why small businesses won't pay it to be fair.

Google local / citations has really made more difference nowadays for trade type businesses.

To be fair I’m on about more medium sized businesses. One man businesses can do very well with a grand a month - I did a 12 month campaign for a guy on a grand a month a few years ago and he’s always been fully booked up since - you have to take into account that the extra organic visibility fuels word of mouth too.
Anyway, I’m boring myself now :)
