Not sure about NEC or alike as to whether they need it

A lot of the Birmingham site is underutilized

Consolidate Coventry shows into Birmingham site.

What about the bowl ,well Fairweather concerts,or collect rent from sport.
Not sure I see it myself.

Sisu have maintained they won't be there in 8 years
This is a major problem, isn't it. I know I keep banging on about the fantasy stadium, but where is the incentive to even try and do a deal with SISU, as long as they pursue their folly?

Delaware North are not doing very well out of the Arena - and they are major operators
Compass are also still owed x£millions

where does IEC EXPERIENCE LIMITED fall in this. Eastwoods company that does catering. Do they just outsource it to Delaware

Is it a major problem unless you actually believe it? This is Sepallas chance, if she wants the stadium then make a move.

If she doesn't then we need a longer term deal at the CBS and the hope would be that under totally new ownership a line could be drawn under all the shit that's gone on in the past and a mutually beneficial deal agreed.

Of course if she does want the stadium this plays to her advantage. No doubt any prospective owner will speak to the club about their long term plans before putting a bid in. She can maintain we're moving to potential buyers knowing full well we aren't and that will have an impact on any offer they make, or if they even make an offer.

That surely cannot happen and would be illegal, you can't rack up £115m debts and then just carry on as if nothing has happened, Richardson should be banned from becoming a director same as the Worcester two are
Not sure it would be illegal.Might be dubious but (unless Richardson was personally bankrupt or facing some sort of criminal allegation) wouldn't disqualify him trying to get the business back through a new entity.
These people set themselves up to be able to do just this.
Remember some fans thought SISU could be gone when we were in administration but they'd just moved things around to clear some debt and put themselves in position to be the only option to carry on as owners.

Well SISU say it. SISU say they have no interest in the arena. The responsibility is with them, as they're the ones who've distanced themselves.

It's their culpability.

I’m confident they could decide not to go ahead with their folly…..

of course, it would cost them, what with all the land they bought and all the building work done to date... ;)

Who pays for the catering, staff, maintenance, policing, parking attendants, electricity for lighting, heating etc?
It’s worrying and very little seems to have been said beyond a vague commitment to keep the club playing there.

"
That would be disappointing if the bond holders lose out.

To be honest I'm so sick of Coventry I will have no sympathy if things went belly up for CCFC"

"
I could care not a fig if CCFC have anywhere to play or not. The modern 'fans' disgust me, as do their owners, SISU."

Its all our fault now

edit and covid

"But on day 1000 (approx) along came Covid with national lock downs and either no games or games played in empty stadia; no concerts, no conferences, hotel and casino empty, no other events, in fact no multiple income streams at all. The global pandemic, the biggest and most severe pandemic for 100 years had no influence on Derek's business at all. The RFU and PRL can kiss my arse."

I think our fans need to prepare themselves that if something happens and we can continue to play at the arena. There wont be any food and drink and limited staff for parking and so on.

Not really the end of the world.

The thing with that is, they should allow some food vans on and problem solved.

Problem Is we do have serial moaners in our fan base. But could easily get some outside vendors and have beer tents and so on outside.

Think there's a bar but not sure about food.

Just mean if it's an issue of having it, pretty sure the administrator could sell a few pitches to local businesses who would jump at the chance.

Italia?

I don't really get why the NEC would want another gaff a stone's throw from their own. If it were in a different part of the country, I could understand the interest.

Its gonna be there anyway and offers something a little different to the NEC itself. Close enough to share branding. Plus tons of potential for developing the other things around like they have with Resorts World and the NEC.

I could see why they’d be interested.

Im going to take a wild guess that the NEC know their business better than some random forumites. By all accounts they’re one of the more serious sources of interest so clearly they see something in it.
