Boddy comes out and said they knew in June that they weren’t getting a new pitch so why’s he only tryna do something about it now when it’s last minute

Also says I don’t want to talk about it in public while he’s literally talking about the situation publicly

Useless twat

He and Vaughan are like two owners of a local happy shopper corner store being given the jobs of running rival supermarkets for a week. Both are out their depth badly

I agree with this but I also think Wasps haven't got a pot to piss in and are having serious cash flow issues so pressure form us in June would likely have lead to the same situation we're in now.

They just can't afford to provide a pitch.
If they can't do it we should have done it and offset the investment against the rent

we will end up with a points deduction if it’s not resolved soon
Well as I've stated bolton players flat out refused to play 2 matches and they got 5 suspended points .. it will take more than 1 or 2 matches as the fixtures will be reversed I'm sure

The Bolton situation was entirely different and there’s no remedial action from what we see that’s correcting it

What could they have done about it at that point? Nipped down to homebase?

In a season which already has spells of serious fixture congestion, and with a small squad, I think this is going to be very damaging.

I'll be surprised if Robins is here come the end of the season.

Yep. He's not holding much back in his press comments. This club just continues to shoot itself in the foot to the point there's hardly anything left to aim at

Neither of them have a clue, no doubt wasps will release a statement saying the complete opposite both a pair of fucking clowns

That would have been a sensible way about it.

I think the ownership would rather use this as another way to increase the pressure on the landlords though.

Lets be honest, we all know talk of a new stadium is bollocks, they've always been interested in the arena. With Wasps heading towards serious trouble they are just trying to squeeze their foot in the door.

Ferret ur a genius, why didn’t they think of that in the first place, if boddy really cared I’m sure he would’ve thought of that, shame he’s a fat liar that loves talking shite

Embarrassing and find Boddy's look over there nauseating. Why wasn't any action taken back in June even Wasps said they weren't going to invest in the pitch?
Realistically what action could the club have taken. What they were told was that a new pitch wasn't being laid as promised. It doesn't then follow automatically that Wasps are going to do fuck all to ensure the current pitch is fit for purpose. You can still have a reasonable exception that the most basic criteria of leasing a football stadium would be met.

The issue with ccfc paying for a new pitch is all the other stuff going on there.

We whack a pitch down then it gets hammered by rugby over a weekend?

Same with when wasps rent it out for other events?

Well we had no control over the booking of the pitch but once that was known it doesn't seem like we did a great deal about it.

Why would we have? We'd have looked at 2014 and probably concluded it would be fine. The we learn at the last minute the CG would be played on last season's pitch. What could we have done, because people are all making the same point without suggesting what we could have changed at such short notice.

So sort the pitch ourselves and take it out of the rental package. Clearly Wasps didn't do anything because they're skint and if we're already committed to giving them money it's no extra expense
But how does that work?

We find out in June, we whack a pitch down, it then gets hammered by the rugby.

Do we then get a share and a say of the events there?

As stated already , we shouldn't put a penny into something we don't own , we pay good money for the privilege to play on a playable surface .. this is their hole , let them climb out of it
