I don’t think we could afford to miss the income

Bit we're going to anyway, in fact it's going to be a lot worse because it will now be a midweek fixture with 5000 fewer people, less from corporate and an EFL fine to pay.

I'm still hopeful the game will go ahead. The financial hit would be significant.

If it's canceled I'm a bit bit screwed. Already booked a hotel which we can't change that late. Potentially gonna have a couple of sad kids to entertain that Sunday. Any suggestions for West Midlands attractions I could hit if it is off? Hotel is in Warwick. Did the Castle last time we were up so need something different. Quick Google think Hatton Adventure is close anyone been? Worth a trip? Kids 7 & 10. Might make a thread on the non Football but any suggestions appreciated

Commonwealth cycle Road races in Warwick on Sunday. I will walk up and watch those if the game is off.

Is there any news either way if its likely to be off or on?

From what I've seen on pics it just looks bare? Or is it cut up/been ripped up like carpet?

Why would it be boddy? The groundsman saying they weren't allowed in
Because ultimately the relations with Wasps sit at Boddy's level, he's got to do his utmost to demand from Wasps a playable pitch for Robins yet it is Robins speaking out about it

I'm in a similar situation - thinking about going into Birmingham and getting some commonwealth vibe ...but would rather be watching us play football.

I don’t think we envisaged this ever happening

The pitch doesn't look dangerous to me a bit dry and bobbly but time to get some water onto it surely. Granted for first day pitch it's pretty dreadful but certainly seen us have and play on far worse and more "dangerous" pitches at home!

The game needs to be off. The pitch is absolutely terrible and we’re already one of or best players down, why risk it.

Even aside from the risk, we play good football, and that pitch is not affable to that. So why disadvantage ourselves at home. Especially in a game we should be clearly outplaying our opponents.

It’s an absolute disgrace we’re at this point though. I’m pleased MR has been so honest and clearly pissed off by it all.

I don’t get the blaming SISU/Boddy angle. We may have a better relationship with Wasps (or maybe not anymore based on SBB comments), but if they want to host Rugby 7’a as part of the games, no matter how much of a fuss we may cause, we have no power to change it.

Hatton's good but might be a bit young for them. It's been a long time since I went, though so worth a look at the site, or asking others who've been recently.

You can rent boats, kayaks etc. from either St Nicholas Park in Warwick or next to Jephson Gardens in Leam. St Nicks has a mini fair ground as well and its a decent spot.

Mad Museum in Stratford is decent and it's in the middle of the town centre so you can mooch along the river after. Loads of Shakepeare shite as well if that's their thing!

If they like swimming, the Wave in Cov is good but not cheap and the queues for slides can be a bit sh*t. Newbold Comyn has a decent pool and there's a pub opposite with a playground.

DM me if you've got any Qs about any of that. My two are 11 and 9 for reference. Hope none of it is needed and the game's on, mind!

Drayton Manor is always a good shout with the kids, they are into that sort of thing

Anyone else think this has potential to completely skew the ‘truce’ between CCFC and Wasps

Club will rightly be seething at the situation and this could open up a fresh can of worms - Could SISU withhold rent again if certain standards haven’t been met
Sounds like it already has! SBB is sounding worryingly despondent.

Thanks that helps a lot, will give Hatton a miss I reckon. I did look at the Wave before, they would love it but reading reviews the queuing system sounds horrific. Maybe better done out of the holidays.

Straford is a good shout. Lots to do especially as the weather looks nice

Not sure the issue is how green it looks or if the ball rolls without bobbling. It will be if there's a risk of injury. I only caught a few minutes of the rugby flicking between channels but it was coming apart in chunks.

If there's a risk of injury because they pitch isn't stable then there's every chance the game will be called off. We're not getting someone in to assess it just because we don't think its flat enough for our style of play.
