New scoreboard in the North Standard looks good, shame it will likely be removed. If you've got seats at the back of that stand, I doubt you'll sit there in the first game.

Will be interesting to see if they get all the advertising boards, fencing, catering etc sorted in time.

When they moved the score board from the corner wasn't there supposed to be two? I have a vague memory of that and poster on drunken drivel asking when the second one was going in.

Fingers crossed the pitch isn't totally destroyed before we even get to play a game

Because no matter how much we hate it, The CBS is a rugby stadium too.

It's also the only multi-purpose stadium in the Midlands. Villa Park couldn't host the wrestling etc.

Birmingham 2022 plastered all over it 🤮

If that was the case why are events happening in cov, leamington, Warwick and London.

Standard for big games hosts, it's a base but a lot of stuff goes to surrounding areas or further afield

I get that but there are plenty of venues that could

Just seen this when the cricket finished. Pitch looks a mess already and its only day one. Is there a plan to have a drop in pitch once the tournament is over as this looks like it will be destroyed.

Or will this be another occasion where we've been told Wasps are spending money on state of the art pitch maintenance and we end up with a terrible pitch.

Also England are playing, and losing, at the moment and the place is empty.

Interestingly, the guy who posted about the pitch has his bio as

Doesn't even mention Wasps.

How does it work if he's working on the pitch for the Commonwealth games?
He'll have his work cut out for him, only day one and the pitch is being torn to shreds. Unless there's a replacement pitch ready to drop in as they have done in the past at Wembley after the NFL it could be worse than ever.

Weren't they supposed to be relaying the pitch over the summer? 😂
Maybe they should have left it until the World Cup break...

Hopefully it's in our rental agreement that we reduce what we pay them if the pitch isn't in an adequate state.

Don't mind a bit of bobbling for a while if it means those pricks lose even more cash
