I'm not starting rumours but me and my dad thought we saw him standing in the doorway of one of them suites to watch match. There were Asian/oriental guys with him. But I can't be 100% it was him. Just what we thought. Another bloke who was stood in front heard us saying and said he thought it was him aswel

This is getting to be like the 2nd coming of Christ. We've been waiting ages for that one too.

Though thinking about it, maybe it's Jesus who is going to buy us and maybe like Jimmy Hill he will ride in on his big white shiny horse like a knight in shining armour to save us.

Only in his case it would be a donkey.

Not so confident of the prospect of a crown of Thorn's though.

Thirty pieces of Silva would do wonders in our midfield.

Only an idiot would pay what SISU want for the club. It may never happen - but the guy has tried and not promised anything.

Did one of the men have the top of his index finger missing on his right hand?

Last seen riding over a Rainbow on a white Unicorn dressed as Harry Potter. I don't have a source but if you don't believe me go down to the bottom of your garden and ask the leprechauns for yourself.

and much like the 2nd coming of Jesus, does Gary Hoffman actually exist? do we just see him because we want too?

....Any idiot can try & not promise anything....

....I wrote down a figure (79p) on a napkin and shoved it through the letter box of the club shop.....I'm not promising anything either.

I don't understand some people on here
The guy tried for whatever reason it didn't work out !!
Maybe if we go into admin something in the future may or may not happen !!
But the people who moan and throw insults and demand to know where he is !!! GET A LIFE !!!

Yes it will. Those clubs mentioned above were a far easier proposition to buy than us, there's a stadium to buy, surrounding land with a promise to re-develop and a run down debt ridden football club.

By the way who has bought Newcastle ?

Leicester (Sadly)
Won't happen as long as SISU are sitting on that huge pile of debt they owe themselves believing they may get it back someday

Once they wake up to the fact they're not getting it back and can't do anything more to stem the continuing losses they will go away

THEN and only THEN we will see some serious takeover activity

Yes you're right. Whatever SISU want they should get.

Err...I didn't say that did I?

I was merely pointing out its rather pointless giving credit to Hoffman just because he claims hes made a bit of an effort.....any fool can write an offer on a scrap of paper & claim to have access to huge fortunes.....remember Dihnsa?

I just think there is currently ZERO justification for favouring Hoffman over Sisu.......everyone seems to see him as the clubs saviour.....Whereas I see him as just another over-paid under-talented banker whose only previous involvement in the club helped lead us to here.

I hope he proves me wrong.......but I won't hold my breath.

If it doesn't happen our long term future looks grim. How can a business survive without money, the football club side of sisu have none, earn none, create none only haemorage it at an alarming rate. There seem to be people on here who think just because we are proffesional football club we can just soldier on regardless. I think if things don't alter drastically we will be lucky to make Christmas.

Maybe thats why you're unable to buy a ST on a Credit card @ the moment ,someone attempting to purchase one on monday was refused this mode of payment.

I have used a credit card twice this week, not sure where you got that info.

Specifically for someone seeking to purchase a ST
From someone who was in the shop at the time the guy attempted to purchase one.

Someone should produce some "Where's Waldo?" stylee books featuring Gary Hoffman concealed amongst a football crowd. Can you spot him? :p

Significant development at Portsmouth, i think today. The administrator is to decide who can run or "purchase" the club, their old owner who has come back in after saying no last week or the Pompey Trust run by the supporters. I say significant because if the admin bloke picks the Trust group it might make sisu think a bit.

Possibly ,however the way it was relayed to me was that they would'nt accept that particular mode of payment

Maybe it was a American express? Lots of companies don't accept them as they charge an extortionate rate somthing like 10% compared to other credit cards that charge 2/3%
