They've probably had what will be their performance of the season in September.

Some hard lessons learnt today but if it means we get time to address those issues during the international break them its probably a good thing. Given how we kept going last season I'd expect the lads to bounce back from this.

There's still a long way to go yet and hopefully we return the favour on the reverse fixture

We needed a formation change after 10 mins. Robins knew it as sheaf was warming up but didn't come in until half time
Thank god he didn't come on after 10 minutes. We could have lost 5-0 with all the times he gives the ball away and gets caught in possession.

Thats my last one.. maybe.

Freak result, the squad comes across as a tight knit group. I think they'll come out fighting on Saturday, whether we win or not, is another matter.

Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. This is only the 2nd game in 10 where we were not the better team.

Clarke salter , they need to get will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones to freeze him and make him forget tonight 😆

It was a terrible terrible performance. Nobody can really hold their heads up, some were less bad (Hyam, Waghorn, Gyokeres (ish), Kane) but an all round shocker.

It happens and as long as it’s a one off we move on and forget it.

The high press troubled us, but if we hadn’t have conceded so early they’d have tired and we’d have been able to dominate. It wont happen everytime we play against a high press.

Coupled with a shocker from JCS and a shakey game from McFadzean, meaning two of our three defenders were poor made things a lot easier for them.

No need for panic stations, back at home on a bigger pitch with our crowd and hopefully the motivation to correct our course.

I get it’s emotive but some reactions are OTT.

The sort of result and performance that just sucks out all the enthusiasm and excitement. Will obviously go but really can't be arsed for Fulham on Saturday now.

In fairness everything Luton touched fell right for them, and everything we touched just wasn't clicking. games like that happen. The goals were mostly preventable on another day. We looked a little jaded tbh. But that is perhaps to excuse them a bit too much. We just never created much at all. Luton played a good tactical game, getting high up, and pressing constantly forcing errors. The fact Luton were able to capitalize so easily was ridiculous. Can't see us playing so badly again, and happy to see the back of it. A reality check we can afford and hopefully every player will not take it to heart, and bounce back once they look at the table again.
Is Dabo available on Saturday? Surprised he didn't give Kelly some minutes as he is surely the best replacement for Hamer? Waghorn just does nothing for me. I'd like to see Godden or Walker Saturday. Luton stopped us playing our game, and we no alternative plan to answer it.

Still feeling stunned after that debarcle. I noticed that Luton were out warming up 5 minutes before Cov and that continued into the game. Their game plan caught us cold.
When Allen actually got the ball he used it well. The only player to do so. Rose has to start on Saturday. I imagine Dabo will come in. Think Kelly may be given the nod too but tough ask against Fulham when he won't be match sharp. However few today looked sharp.

Trying to think of positives

rose looked alright when he came on. Vic looked like he was getting into the game but thought it wasn’t a bad idea taking him off ,
Kane didn’t have the worst game ever.

felt sorry for Moore, couldn’t do much about any of the goals

It is genuinely a positive to have another game soon after to get it out of the system.

If you think waghorn does nothing look at the full build up to all 3 goals and you’ll see what he brings to the team

Just when I thought we had the mental strength to overcome early setbacks, we end up looking like surrender monkeys. Did we only make their keeper have one save to make? Luton were good at the high press and they bullied us, but every player on our side made schoolboy errors. Every goal was preventable. I was hoping we would win or draw the second half but even then we present a gift goal and after that it could have been more goals. The ref was dreadful but not an excuse for the result.

Bad day at the office, not pointing a finger at any individual there was hardly a 5 out of 10 from anyone. I think Luton’s fifth goal just about summed our performance up. But come on let’s be positive it’s just 3 points dropped promotion favourites Bournemouth have dropped two points at woeful Peterborough we can turn this round and what better than Saturday, this is a funny old division..

Peterborough are a different side at home, just like us

That was not enjoyable to watch. In my opinion teams tend to try to start by pressing us high and we usually ride it out in the beginning of games before growing into the games and dominating the play, unfortunately today with the early penalty (was it in the box? Couldn’t see from behind the goal) the high press coupled with momentum from the goal and we just went to pot. Nothing seemed to go for us, and Luton we’re geared up for it and their striker had JCS bullied.

Have to just take it as what it is, a 1 in 10 bad performance and move on to Fulham, where if we play like we can there’s no reason why we can’t beat them.

Not in the box. One of those things.

Bournemouth will consider they have dropped two points and that’s what we should do just consider tonight as three points dropped bring on Saturday and move on. It will probably happen this is a funny old division.again
