Clarke Slater needs some serious recognition, last two home games he's been unreal for me, distributions good and wins everything. All above 8s for me tonight with JCS and Gyko on 9s. O'hare was very good but still lacks that final ball
Bang on Littlewood and on top of that JCS balances our defence by being left sided (allows Hyam to excel at RCB) - and I'm sure JCS makes Maatsen feel more reassured when they play together.

Maatsen MOM for me - 9
All the others (except Waghorn) - 8
Waghorn - 7

I'm not really feeling it for Martyn at the moment. I hope it's just me, and he's a better player than my amateur eyes can see.
(Happy to admit that Mark Robins has forgotten more about football than I will ever know).

Kind of understand that from an on the ball perspective, bit the space he creates with tireless unselfish work rate is phenomenal

Thought Kane was very good tonight. Decent competition for Dabo.

Jamie Allen man of the match though for me. Was brilliant, especially in the second half. Never bloody stops

Yeah, I still think Dabo will come straight back in but his absence is no longer the crisis it once was.
I might be wrong but it looked to me like Allen started coming a bit deeper in the secondhand to pick the ball up and like you say, really effective 2nd 45.

That last ditch save in the dying minutes and some good distribution of the ball
Kane 8
Looked decent going forward (no Dabo) and looked good defensively
Hyam 8
Made some mistakes leading to Hamer having to support but otherwise was decent
Fadz 8
Marshalled the back well didnt bully JCH as much as I would have likes to see
Clarke-Salter 8.5
Did quite well, attacked tham when won the ball by running more than half the pitch and won a free kick from this, defensively sound
Maatsen 8.5
Attacked very well, Defended decently
Hamer 9.5
Was very very good last night back to his old self slightly it seemed
Allen 8
Chased shadows like normal, and had a good game won the ball back quite a few times
O’hare 8
Would have given lower rating if it wasn’t for how lively he was
Waghorn 8
Worked very hard, very selfless to pass to Gyok instead of taking the glory for himself
Gyökeres 10
Unbelievable player

Kelly 7
Came on took the captains armband, didnt have too much to do, passed the ball well
Walker 6.5
Wasnt involved much due to the fact we decided to pass it round but won the ball back quite well after bolting back
JJ 6
Wasnt involved for long touched the ball like 4 times but looked settled at LWB

Man of the match is a difficult one, Hamer was outstanding, Gyokeres brilliant, but I think I'm going to give it to Kane - one if two sloppy moments but a constant menace down the right, you can see he is an intelligent player and I was really impressed with the quality of delivery into the box all night, which I thought was a cut above Dabo's.
