Derby points deduction (2 Viewers)

That was just for accounting stuff. They'll be deducted 12 points for admin no doubt.

I'm just not sure if that rules out the 9 points or they're combined for 21 points.
I remember Luton got 30 points before. Was that more severe than this?

EFL rotten to the core corrupt morally,Wycombe were fucked off by this corrupt organisation as for derby I've never rated them as a club.
What's this got to do with the EFL? They can't punish Derby for an administration that hasn't happened yet

Leicester fans getting all mushy, “we know how you feel”. Didn’t they only get put under a transfer embargo? No point hits.

Good news for Forest and others fighting relegation. Think their fans will finally be glad to know what's happening.

There's talk on their forum that the "application" for administration triggers a clause related to a company, MSD (or something- related to stadium ownership) meaning that they automatically take over the club and administration may be avoided....
Sounds very dodgy and contrived.....

The EFL won’t allow that, Southampton and us tried that one
Didn't we do it as part OF the admin.... basically appointed our own admins who sold us back to a differently named sisu derivative. SBS+L to Otium entertainment....

The Derby one looks like (although seems complicated) it triggers a forced change but no admin... although looks like that MSD could still choose to apply for admin to (not sure if this is right words) reduce debt .. ???

Problem with derby fans is they seam to think the EFL is against them and some sort of agenda
....it would be pre-admin... so nothing EFL could do.... but would obviously still have original charges still hanging over them.... the apparent 9pts...

I thought we tried to argue that CCFC ltd wasn’t the club and that company was going into the club and saints tried it with their holding company.

basically any attempt to avoid the points deduction won’t work

Think with ours, Higgs/Council said - we'll put you in admin (not sure how!?).... but (whatever part it was) club said, no we'll do it ourselves, appointed own admins who sold it back to SISU under a different company name, minus the "debt" ???

East Mids ITV news still talking in terms of a 12 point deduction just now. Not 21.

This the best deal they could negotiate with the EFL, then?

Or is this a case of they negotiated the nine, then managed to negotiate that if they go into admin, call it a flat twelve and forget the nine?

BBC Sport 'expert' seems to think it's possible a further 9 points might also be deducted due to 2016/17/18 accounts irregularities.
Pretty much inconsequential though, as they'd be as good as relegated anyway....unless the 9 points is next year.

I believe the process being talked about involving MSD is called pre-pack administration.
According to this Gov website, the administration still takes place but the new owners are pre-determined.
.
So they can't avoid the administration process as far as I can see.

Haven't got that much sympathy for them right now. We stayed up with the 2nd smallest budget in the league, playing 20 miles from a 'home' ground which we get limited income from, even now. We followed the rules along with everyone else apart from Derby. They're moaning about the impact of COVID, so fracking what? Every club has been impacted by that.

If I was Wycombe, I'd be dragging my solictor out of bed first thing tomorrow morning to look at recent events.

Fuck them, they're not going being wound up. They'll get a point deduction but if they manage to stay up, they'll get away with this.

The Derby fans were perfectly happy with the money went they were pushing playoffs. Its bit them on the ass now in this era of money.

You can't piss away money then play the victim when it doesn't work out. We learned that the hard way.

Yes Lampard, Rooney, Mount, and all those other excellent, top class loanees they brought in....they didn't come cheap.
To think the suicidal financial gamble almost paid off when they lost out 2-1 in the playoff final to Villa (2019), last game of that season.

Martyn Waghorn was a reported £5m signing from Ipswich under Lampard!

They are facing a 21 point deduction, they are not going to stay up and get away with it
