I quite liked him when he was with us, looked like he had potential. Shame to see him so far down the pyramid
Maquire-Drew definetely did one good thing. Plonk a corner on Tom Davies's head for Jordan Willis to get the knock back - Stoke in the Cup.

Watched the Shrewsbury highlights and Marosi made three or four saves from shots outside the area. Everyone he stopped but parried out rather than holding on to the ball. Each time luckily the ball fell to a Shrewsbury defender but I seem to remember him being the same with us. Pulling off saves that on first impression was a decent save but on watching it again you would ask why he made simple saves look hard work and would instead of holding on to the ball it would be pushed back out.

shrewsbury fans have mixed views of him but saying he has week wrists which seems to support him failing to hold on to shots.

definitely got a better number one in now

Just found this note on Sky Sports attributed to the Daily Star but other papers also reported it.

"Former Sheffield Wednesday defender Carlton Palmer named himself on the bench for seventh tier Grantham Town's visit to Ashton United on Tuesday night."

Grantham drew 2-2 and no, our ex-player, now 55 yrs old, didn't get on the pitch ;)

Carl Baker to line up with his son for Nuneaton in tomorrows FA Cup game.

To be fair that must a great thing for a dad and lad to do; play together at a reasonably high level. I recall Baker being a proper family bloke and having some tragedy so this must be all the more special.

Good thoughts to the Baker boys. Hope you have a great day.
